Forcible Deportation of Iraqi asylum seekers ended in violence

The asylum seekers were to be deported to Erbil in Northern Iraq. However,
when one of the asylum seekers punched and smashed a window of the plane,
the Commandoes boarded the plane to try to unsuccessfully pin the Iraqi
asylum seekers down. The asylum seekers have been moved back to detention centres.
Many were badly beaten and are injuried as a result.

Support Danish WMD Whistleblower Frank Grevil

Frank Søholm Grevil (born in 1960) had the rank of major in Forsvarets Efterretningstjeneste [FE] (Danish military intelligence agency). On February 22, 2004 he acted as a whistle blower leaking classified information about the FE's assessment of the possibility of weapons of mass destruction [WMD] in Iraq. These documents proved that Danish prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen lied to the Danish parliament when he claimed that there was evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Frank Grevil was sentenced to four months in jail for leaking these documents.

Georgia, NATO and the spread of war - public meeting in Cambridge

The meeting will discuss the recent conflict in Georgia and the wider causes and implications of this conflict. Flip Wilson's comedic character "Geraldine" knew who to blame for her own indiscretions: "The Devil made me do it." The same goes for Barack Obama who, his
supporters are quick to explain, is blameless for his political sins and betrayals. The "white folks" made him do it, or "the polls" made him do it - but never the candidate, himself. However, it will be hard to find a devil to blame for Obama's choice of Sen. Joe Biden - "as much a war monger as George Bush" - as his running mate. The fact is, Obama "was never a progressive - he just briefly played one to win points in an Illinois
Democratic primary election six years ago." Let the Devil be.
