Well, to begin with, they didn't "Stop the War" and there is a lot to be said for the case that in the 6-going-on-7 years since their role has been to "play mother" to the continuing dissent, dissipating the anger until it reduces to a background noise like a chained-up dog outside a kennel at the foot of the garden.

While the interest from national media in the Haiti earthquake has begun to diminish, the need to provide emergency aid has certainly not. The recovery will take months and years, but there are many things you can do to help NOW. Oxfam is calling for the IMF to cancel Haiti's debt, while the DEC appeal has raised £38 million so far.
