Arriving at the rally point the Police presence is unreal. Literally thousands of the fuckers. A group of communists are being kettled outside the entrance and the atmosphere is tense to say the least. The speeches are delayed because many of the speakers are held up outside while people are being searched. Then when the demo forms up hundreds of cops surround the start and block its passage. Behind them are water cannons. The crowd refused to provoked. Its the same deal as before. There are refugees present and noone is going to allow the Police to add deportations to their arrest quota.

After hours of negotiation the demo finally leaves with over 10,000 people on it. Outside the town centre it is stopped again because the streets are too narrow or something. Despite these pathetic excuses the crowd still refuse to react in a violent or confrontational manner.

10,000 is over ten times bigger than anything that Germany's Nazis have ever manged. They think that borders are a good idea...whose winning?

In 1992 Germany saw its first pogrom since the days of Hitler. A hostel in Lictenhagen used by refugees and immigrant workers was burnt to the ground by a gang of pissed up nazis as 3,000 local racists cheered them on. The 30 cops in attendance looked the other way and the event became an international scandal. It happened after a hysterical racist campaign by the conservative right and their tabloids (sound familiar?). Following the pogrom racist laws were passed and refugees rights were eroded.

Given the history of Lichtenhagen you would have thought that the cops might keep a low profile?

Yeah right...

The case against CrossRail hole plot Bill has always been that it is a crassly conceived project. That it is being sued as a giant Trojan horse by Bog Business and contractors to loot £billions from the UK public under cover of improving transport in London. The hundreds of inaccuracies , fabrications, contradictions as still contained in the promotional assertions and plugs for CrossRail, have been exposed over the past 3 years plus by the Khoodeelaar! campaign. But newer lies are being told. Today's r plug for Crossrail , posted on the Guardian web site allegedly as a report on the Blair party's deputy leadership contenders is the latest, and the most drastic act of lying Crassly for Crossrail

Officially the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank represent global interests and bear worldwide responsibility. In reality, they are dominated by the US.. The left has not yet adjusted to the imminent upheavals.

So we’ve back at the hostel for around an hour and a half after the first trouble when the phone rings. ‘The cops are going fucking mad!’ we are told so it’s back to the rally to see what is going on? A car has been torched since we were last here and the water cannons are out.

A similar event to the ¨Live 8¨ concert which took place in the run-up to the G8 in 2005 is to take place in Rostock on Thursday 7th June 2007. Undoubtedly the message will be the same: ¨wearing a white arm band and attending a rock concert will liberate the third world from poverty as well as making you feel good about yourself¨.

So, at the end of the demo there was a riot. Which has now been widely reported by the corporate media as being deliberately provoked by tooled up agitators in Black. Change the word black for green and you start getting a bit closer to the truth.

It is now confirmed that the clown infection has spread as far as Germany. Following the first recorded outbreak in London in 2003 it was thought that the spread had been contained. Now it seems that the condition is reaching epidemic proportions will little or no indication as to where it will end. It is thought that the disease has become airborne due to activists traveling to summit mobilisations on budget airlines. “Many of them don’t even know they are carriers” said one expert who declined to be named.

Fortunately following the outbreak of the Samba virus a few years ago there are now many safeguards in place to protect the movement from this phenomenon. Symptoms of the illness are easy to spot and following treatment victims can make a full recovery. It remains unclear whether activists will in time develop immunity to the condition. People are being advised not to panic as the situation is being closely monitored. Although the situation in Germany had passed the previous peak witnessed in Scotland in 2005 no one is using the word pandemic yet…..

The march moves at a snails pace due to the samba bands and sound systems that are dotted along the route. No one seems to mine as it has a carnival atmosphere and there is still no sign of the predicted rain

The march was meeting at two points the IMC UK crew nominated the main station as our meeting point as the route was shorter and therefore kinder to our feet. Despite the weather reports it was cloudy but no rain.

Yesterday, Sat 2nd june, most of the news dealt with reports from the main Anti-G8 demonstration in Rostock, and the clashes that occurred after the march at the rally / concert in the harbour. Here´s a quick run down of some of the other reports:
