Anyone have a scooby-doo clue what Ken and his cohorts are up to now?

I thought Ken had deep concern for the grass, unlike his love of human rights and the rights of shelter to peace campaigners...

UK Police Found Guilty in Menezes Murder

02-11-2007 01:37 | Repression | World

Looking back, it is instructive to remember all the lies told by the police in an attempt to cover up the murder of an innocent man. They claimed he was wearing a suspiciously bulky jacket. He was not. They claimed he leaped over the turn styles and ran to the train car. He did not. Time after time every claim made to excuse the extra-judicial murder of this man was exposed as a lie ... here on the internet. The mainstream media, the BBC in particular, promoted without question the lies used to justify the public execution of an innocent man. Only after the lies were exposed in the blogs did the mainstream media grudgingly admit to what had really happened.

Business as usual - Iraq Body Count, Human Rights Watch and that empire-building

31-10-2007 23:45 | Anti-militarism | Iraq | Repression | World

So far, too many on the “left” and within the so-called “anti-war movement” have been reluctant - and I’m being polite here - to inform the vast majority of the population on the real extent of the carnage inflicted upon the Iraqi people. That too is real denial.

“Come and see our overflowing morgues"

30-10-2007 09:07 | Anti-militarism | Iraq | Repression | World

But Bush will not withdraw and apparently no one can force him to do so. So, the killing will continue unabated behind the media’s iron curtain while the overall situation on the ground continues to deteriorate. Eventually, after years of ethnic cleansing, sectarian fighting and stepped-up military operations; the position of the US will become untenable and the troops will come home. But the cost in human terms will be enormous. Already one million Iraqis have been killed in the war and 4 million others have become refugees. Credit the US media for concealing the real savagery of foreign occupation and its effects on Iraqi society. The country is in ruins.
