15-07-2016 09:56 | Ecology | Health | Terror War | World

Despite a recent surge of violence on the archipelago, militants in the Philippine Islands this week set free an Australian hostage they had held in captivity for three years. The 38 year old Raph Ader who had been vacationing in a local community aside from the overcrowded beaches was abducted during a speed boat round trip in the area, of which his wife had said he hesitated to cancel despite her falling ill due to rumours it might be a last opportunity to see coral reefs threatened by climate warming.

ABAB

15-01-2016 09:16 | Culture | Ecology | Free Spaces | World

ABAB is like a hint at a door to a person hitting its head against a wall. Of course, in the forest, where ABAB is real, there are neither walls nor doors, only heads and sometimes not even that. ABAB started as a thought experiment aimed at researching, documenting and correcting a fundamental flaw in the organisation of the human species that has put the lion´s share of it on an extinction track, and consequentially developed into a multiplication force of the archetypal knowledge for the survival thereof.

China Prepares Rare Earth Mineral Sanctions Against US

18-12-2015 09:54 | Anti-militarism | Ecology | Globalisation | World

In response to the Taiwanese jump-start into the Pacific arms race, the Beijing politburo is weighing to slap a major package of correctional trade sanctions upon United States industrial players, sources in Singapore associated with the Communist Party´s leadership school suggested today. It was said that the party´s closely guarded internal debate had concluded China would pursue the opening stage of its carbon emission reductions under the NGO-herded climate diplomacy initiative by means of triangulation-steered de-escalation based on dialectic-materialist estimation of military carbon footprint evasion, to soften up the currency trade for industrial emission reductions.

Trollhattan Killer´s Odd Obsession Revealed

23-10-2015 12:44 | Anti-militarism | Ecology | Gender | World

Young male serial killers, unless they have imams or rabbis, tend to have one thing in common: A sort of an hobby pursued like a profession-to-be they tend to spend most of their time with – either it is their guns, or a cultural supremacism or over-affirmation of leadership, or a commercial aberration binding unguarded personality traits – as well as a huge motivation to stick to it. And it is hard to turn down the thought experiment that if the world was as in the capitalist war propaganda, as stacks of wasted paper and box office charts would like to suggest, there would be a special place for them as specific professionals. But in the real life of international system average and climate chaos they are dead-enders.

“State of the art” Irish hare coursing venue has no planning permission …

Enforcement letter confirming that Glin Coursing Club had no planning permission
A County Limerick, Ireland, based hare coursing club is getting away with an outrageous flouting of planning laws and procedures, and is doing so with the full knowledge of Limerick County Council.

A large complex for the holding, feeding, and “training” of captive hares on a field purchased by Glin Coursing Club for hare coursing purposes has no planning permission, and a letter of enforcement (see attached) was sent by Limerick County Council to the club personnel last year.

Berlin Weighs Controversial Parachuting Ramp

14-09-2015 09:59 | Anti-militarism | Climate Chaos | Ecology | World

A QUESTIONABLE CREATION
It is designed with a middle plank that can be screwed off in case of war,
turning both lanes into one runway. But during peacetime, the military
training platform in the backyard of the CIA´s European headquarters is
groomed to appear as a motorway bridge running across a geologically
precious river valley between two steep mountain ranges. Legally however it is
especially delicate, as it is being claimed by a branch of the American
military-industrial complex which unilaterally came into existence only after
the ink under the respective multilateral treaties had dried.

UG#707 - Returning To Earth (Fungus, Fermentation and Food)

02-05-2015 14:46 | Culture | Ecology | Health | Sheffield | World

This time we leave Deep Politics for a change of pace, and focus instead on earthier matters. Beginning with a reading of Ivan Illich's "Declaration on Soil", we look closely at the source of our food, and the humble and often overlooked organisms without which larger life forms could not live or even digest their food. Philosophy and theory are not forgotten, but this a more practical show than usual, including advice on growing and fermenting food.

FOI Reports reveal that Minister opted not sanction coursing clubs despite clear

The controversial letter sent by Mallow Coursing Club to the Wildlife Service...
Irish animal protection groups are shocked to learn from FOI reports that the National Parks & Wildlife Service, following "discussions" with Arts & Heritage Minister Heather Humphreys, decided not to sanction two coursing clubs for clear breaches of license conditions that supposedly apply to the holding of all coursing events, and that she gave them the green light to continue coursing hares during the 2014/15 season, despite what the NPWS officials referred to as the “seriousness of the incidents at these meetings”.
