Wikileaks and Imperial Mobilization By Zahir Ebrahim

01-12-2010 07:08 | Analysis | Anti-militarism | Terror War | World

Wikileaks has always been a rather transparent Mighty Wurlitzer ops. It is trivial to see through the absurdity of its existence despite it promoting itself as being a sort of watchdog upon the empire, and therefore, ostensibly, being inimical to its unbridled quest for “full spectrum dominance” – just like Al Jazeera television based in Qatar, which too, absurdly enough, is permitted to function unhindered in the same nation as America's CENTCOM headquarters. Would it not be trivial for an armed to the teeth National Security State to take-out either apparatus rather trivially?

The reason each is allowed to function is of course social engineering, the sine qua non for waging modern warfare upon civilian populations by way of deception. It spans the entire gamut of engineering consent, from mantra creation in the mainstream and diabolically controlling dissent in order to control all opposition, to actually fabricating the visible pretexts which can naturally ripen the conditions for the mantra of “clash of civilizations” to be called real before the Western public in order to sustain the otherwise untenable “imperial mobilization”. Zbigniew Brzezinski had most succinctly summed this motivation in his book The Grand Chessboard – American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives: “Democracy is inimical to imperial mobilization”.

Urgent: Stop the U.S./S Korean Attack - Know the Facts and take action

28-11-2010 15:11 | Anti-militarism | History | Social Struggles | World

"Tuesday, Nov 30 is the date that more than 2 million workers in the U.S. will loose all extended jobless funding or unemployment benefits. They will be left totally destitute. So we were working with some of the workers loosing benefits on that day. So one proposal was to refocus with signs and flyers this action to include more prominently the U.S. threats against DPRK, the cost of sending nuclear powered aircraft carriers, destroyers, jet aircraft half way around the world while continuing to cut the most basic necessities here at home."

Mysterious "laptop documents". Using fake intelligence to justify war on Iran

27-11-2010 19:37 | Anti-militarism | Anti-racism | Other Press | Sheffield | World

The US stance in the UN Security Council, has in part based on alleged intelligence documents which provide "evidence" of Iran's nuclear weapons program.

A recent article by investigative reporter Gareth Porter confirms unequivocally that the mysterious laptop documents are fake.

We are dealing with a clear case of fake intelligence comparable to that presented by Colin Powell in February 2003 on Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction. The fake intelligence presented to the UN Security Council was used as a justification for the March 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Will the US antiwar movement confront Washington's plans to wage a pre-emptive nuclear war against Iran based on fake intelligence?

Report: WikiLeaks Docs to Show US Military Supporting PKK in Turkey’s Civil War

26-11-2010 15:21 | Anti-militarism | Social Struggles | Terror War | World

The PKK has been officially listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the US State Department since 1979, which would be reason enough that the Defense Department cannot legally back them. It is doubly problematic in this case, however, as the PKK has been fighting Turkey, a NATO member and close military ally of the US.
The Pentagon is said to have praised the PKK as “warriors for freedom” in official documents and has ordered detained PKK captured inside Iraq released. They are also said to have provided the organization with weapons.

What about "an attack on one member is an attackon all?"

President Gul: NATO missile plan is in line with our expectations

25-11-2010 14:05 | Analysis | Anti-militarism | Other Press | Sheffield | World

Obama, Gul, Papandreou and Cameron, NATO Summit, Lisbon, 19 November 2010
Ever since the November 2008 US Presidential elections, Turkey’s political establishment has been pretending to have an anti-imperialist stance against the threat of a possible war against Iran.

Actually, the signing of NATO’s new Strategic Concept by Turkey and all the other members of NATO at the November 2010 Lisbon Summit was the clearest indication of Turkey’s total capitulation to NATO and Israeli war plans against Iran.

UK Royal Wedding and Australian genocide-ignoring

20-11-2010 11:44 | Anti-militarism | Anti-racism | Other Press | South Coast | World

The “happy families” engagement of Britain’s Prince William to “commoner” Kate Middleton has generated lot feel-good media coverage but has also provided a good example of mainstream media (MSM) censorship in anti-Asian, racist Apartheid Australia. However in a good example of the media censorship applying in Apartheid Australia, The Age On-line (Melbourne) has declined to publish the shocking, documented details of the devastation of circa 100 million mostly Muslim and far-from-happy families subject to Occupation and Muslim Holocaust of the Anglo-American War on Terror.

Sweden issues international arrest warrant for WikiLeaks founder Assange

19-11-2010 18:30 | Analysis | Anti-militarism | Social Struggles | World

"Assange has repeatedly offered to be interviewed, first in Sweden before he left that country, and subsequently in Britain, “either in person or by telephone, videoconferencing or email and he has also offered to make a sworn statement on affidavit. All of these offers have been flatly refused by a prosecutor who is abusing her powers by insisting that he return to Sweden at his own expense to be subjected to another media circus that she will orchestrate,” explains Stephens. He continues, “This behavior is not a prosecution, but a persecution.”
A letter from one of Assange’s Swedish lawyers, Björn Hurtig, has also been made public, which documents the numerous attempts by his legal team to organize Assange’s questioning by Swedish authorities, to no avail.
Stephens concludes his press statement, “Our client has always maintained his innocence. … As a result of these false allegations and bizarre legal interpretations our client now has his name and reputation besmirched. Thousands of news articles and 3.6 million web pages now contain his name and the word ‘rape.’ Indeed, three out of four web-pages that mention Mr. Assange’s name also now mention the word ‘rape’—a direct result of incompetent and malicious behavior by Swedish government prosecutors.”
In a separate comment to the media, Stephens explained that he had “never seen anything like it in 30 years of legal practice.”
In July 2010 WikiLeaks released 77,000 secret Pentagon documents on the war in Afghanistan, and followed that up in October by making public nearly 400,000 more documents on the Iraq war."

Prosecute Tony Blair and John Howard over ‘proceeds of crime’

Blair and Howard held a press conference 5 weeks prior to the invasion of Iraq
The leaders of the US Alliance have yet to face war crimes trials before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for their involvements in the Iraqi Genocide (4.4 million deaths, 1990-2010) and the Afghan Genocide (4.9 million deaths, 2001-2010).

Judicial exposure of US Alliance war crimes can be achieved if Australian PM John Howard, who committed Australia to the illegal invasion of Iraq, is prosecuted for “proceeds of crime” over his recently published memoirs.

The lesson they didn't get!!! - after 25 years Russia comes back to Afganistan !
NATO chief asks for Russian help in Afghanistan
Two decades after the Soviet Union’s retreat from Afghanistan, NATO is working to get Russia back into the country to help fight drug trafficking and rebuild Afghan security forces. The deal, championed by NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen as part of a “new start in the relationship between NATO and Russia,” would see Moscow providing helicopters to Afghan and NATO forces, training Afghan national-security forces and pilots, and helping on the ground with counternarcotics programs and border security.
