Couple of pics from London Critical Mass, March
Couldn't attach these to the video article so here they are instead. A large turnout with good weather. I saw the result of three deliberate rammings by drivers, which resulted in angry confrontations. Its great to see cyclists supporting each other. Despite this the mood of the ride was exuberant. This time we were accompanied by a friendly motorcycle cop who helped with the corking and had words with several drivers. Judging by the accents there were plenty of foreign visitors joining in the ride which seems to be becoming something of a tourist attraction. It was scarry getting pushed and shoved in front of the police lines. Then, behind the police lines, getting all sorts thrown in my direction inc. a lot of bottles. I was grateful for the donation of my shiny new hard hat! The following Saturday, walking across Market Square in Nottingham I shared in viewing this spectacle. Like many others there, I found it hard to believe what I was watching. I have to say after the previous weekends stress, it offered some most welcome relief.
