The 18th December marks 11 months on remand for EDO Decommissioner Elijah (James) Smith. That’s 11 months locked away in a shitty little cell, deprived of all his freedom, and without any opportunity to argue his case in court. 11 months in prison without actually being found guilty of anything.

Ever since hectoring hegemons have existed, ever since oligarchs have existed wielding power from behind the scenes through their 'errand boys', ever since they discovered social engineering, and especially ever since Edward Bernays discovered and employed Public Relations which coincided approximately with the time that Nobel peace prizes started to be awarded, these accolades from the high and mighty serve the oligarchic agendas as needed.

10 December is Human Rights Day and also marks 25 years of the adoption of the Convention Against Torture (it became law in 1987). Yet torture is still practiced all over the world and supported and/or ignored by other regimes. Join us as we discuss this tragedy of our times

With The World Health Organisation calling down Pandemic Level Six in June 2009, the United Nations via the WHO is now dictating Contingency implementation in all 194 Nation signatory’s to the International Health Regulations (IHR), The UK is a signatory nation.
This is being implemented via Regional and Local Resilience Forums.

In his December 1 speech at West Point announcing the deployment of 30,000 more US troops to Afghanistan, President Barack Obama attempted to justify a major escalation of a deeply unpopular war on the basis of lies and distortions. That he had to resort to such falsifications reflects both the reactionary character of his policy and the fact that it is being imposed in violation of the popular will.

On 10 December 1984, 25 years ago, the General Assembly of the UN adopted the text of the Convention Against Torture, banning the use of torture (in writing, it was already illegal) and practices related to it, such as assisting in torture and returning people to countries where they face torture. It became law in 1987, however the use of torture and the involvement of most countries and governments in it, including ours, continues to grow...
