Camden Lab - Letter from Frank Dobson & Govt. deal : Lab in "return" for flats

20-05-2008 14:55 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Other Press | London | World

We have a letter from Frank Dobson MP for Camden. {9th May} and it appears that the government are trying to do a deal. They are, it seems, trying to persuade the people of London to accept a deadly lab near Kings Cross in "return" for flats on the Hampstead Road site, currently owned by the NIMR. If built the lab will see the Somers Town estate and surround, patrolled by armed police.

16-05-2008 14:16 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Other Press | London | World

As you may be aware there is an attempt to build a deadly disease lab in London. There were 27 other bidders for the land at Brill Place next to St Pancras International in the heart of London's business district. The site is also on a Camden council house estate. 12 complied with the planning briefthat the site should be used for 50% housing but were turned down. Many candidates, corporate media obscures U.S. presidential politics

13-05-2008 15:12 | Analysis | Other Press | World

Third political parties do not compete on a level playing field in U.S. politics; the corporate media will spend more money in one day, promoting the campaigns of Senators John McCain, Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton, than the amount of money third political parties will spend in one year to promote their candidates, combined. While third party candidates are spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on flyers and brochures, big corporations are spending millions to keep the names of their candidates in the public’s view.

organised crime in the Netherlands. Bureau jeugdzorg the Dutch company that takes and holds children makes big monies by ordering the parents to pay for the 24/7 care in an institution. The children are not allowed to speak to their families ( unless the parents pay extra) and this is to keep them from passing information and to alienate them from their families so they can use this in courts.
The following is a horror story about a dying grandmother and her last whish.

Latest American I/Op: An army of media military 'analysts' recruited by Pentagon

20-04-2008 23:12 | Iraq | Other Press | Terror War | World

An investigation by the New York Times has revealed "a Pentagon information apparatus" which uses military 'analysts' in a campaign to generate favourable news coverage of the Bush administration's wars on terrorism and Iraq. The front page feature by David Barstow comes after the paper successfully sued the Defense Department, under the Freedom of Information Act, to gain access to 8,000 pages of e-mail messages, transcripts and records describing years of private briefings, trips to Iraq and Guantánamo and an extensive Pentagon talking points operation.

"Internal Pentagon documents repeatedly refer to the military analysts as 'message force multipliers' or 'surrogates' who could be counted on to deliver administration 'themes and messages' to millions of Americans 'in the form of their own opinions'."

Zimbabwe and the Power of Propaganda: Ousting a President via Civil Society

16-04-2008 11:44 | Anti-militarism | History | Other Press | London | World

As the case of 'democratic' interference in Venezuela has been well documented, this article will provide a critical – although by no means exhaustive – investigation into the complex issues raised by the current political interventions by foreign organizations into Zimbabwe’s political affairs. Initially, this article will examine how ostensibly progressive mainstream media have acted as imperial flak machines to legitimize ongoing inference in Zimbabwe. Subsequently, it will demonstrate how Western governments’ carried out an overt cultural war to successfully manipulate Zimbabwean civil society, and will then conclude by recommending how concerned citizens might best further the protection of human rights in Zimbabwe and elsewhere.

Islington council kept in dark over "Death Lab" on border with Camden.

We contacted Islington council who it appears have not been informed by Camden council {or anyone else} about the plans for "The World's largest ever, highest level, virus containment facility and animal testing lab" to be built in Kings Cross on the Camden side just a few footsteps from the border with Islington. We wonder, what contingency plans, if any have been drawn up in the event of terror attack or virus leak at the site, scene of 7/7 and 21/7 bombings. Foot and Mouth disease was a govt lab leak.

Resilient Communities: A Guide to Disaster Management

09-04-2008 12:43 | Ecology | Other Press | Sheffield | World

Resilience: The ability to recover quickly from illness, change, or misfortune; buoyancy; the ability to absorb shocks.

The following is a proposal to help make communities better able to respond to the coming economic shocks from resource depletion, beginning with Peak Oil, and perhaps also to shocks from other causes (such as the ongoing subprime mortgage and credit collapse). In searching for a name for the strategy, I have settled on the phrase "Resilient Communities," which comes with considerable baggage—useful baggage in this instance. Once I have described and discussed the proposal, I will offer some background materials regarding the terms resilience and resilient communities, mentioning some other projects that have used the same title or that pursue similar goals.
