Make high-earners, not students, pay for our crumbling higher education system.

Parliament will be voting on the Higher Education Bill on the 27th January; if passed it will severely penalise students and put many prospective students off univeristy. There are alternatives which the government is unwilling to listen to. Great Britain is a democracy and we have a voice... let's make ourselves heard. Read more >>

CHERYL SEAL REPORTS: To Win in 2004, the Democrats Must Reclaim America's Soul

Thanks to the Bush Reich and his neofascist goons in Congress, who helped pave the way for his dictatorship, America's center has been pulled so far to the right that the country is in danger of toppling over. To win in 2004, the Democratic Party must reclaim the center - and its own soul. Read more >>

Facts About Israel Our U.S. Media Don't Tell Us

Israel Is A Threat To World Peace And A Prime Cause Of Terrorism
The "security fence" being built is, in most places, twice as high as the Berlin Wall and much more fortified. It has little to do with security, and everything to do with a land grab. If it was for security, it would go between the Israelis and the Palestinians. It does not. It goes off into the Occupied Territories, taking about 80% of the water supply ( more precious than oil in the Mid East), and most of the fertile land. Many Palestinians are on the Israeli side. Some "security fence". It also separates thousands of Palestinians from their centuries old olive groves and croplands. Read more >>

Western Culture, Opera, and Cultural Marxism

Opera allowed me to relax, sit back, and soak in my culture -- until last summer. That's when I realized operas were stocked with old fashioned Marxist critiques of capitalism and snide attacks on Western civilization -- and rotten to the core. Read more >>

An American Protester in London

George Bush made me do it.

Politically apathetic all my life, I barely followed the issues, never voted, and never much cared to.

Bush forced me to get up, get out, and take to the streets.

Congratulations to Laura Peek, Times reporter!!!

Congratulations to Laura Peek, reporter to The Times, who managed to infiltrate an open training on non-violent direct action and win a frontpage article. The "hardcore of the protest movement", as well as Indymedia London is happy that Laura survived her adventure "at the headquarters of an organisation calling itself Larc" and lived to tell this tale of stunning investigative journalism to the British public. We also congratulate her on the millions of pounds her article will generate for the honorable mister Rupert Murdoch - defender of the common man and self-styled anti-establishment representative.
