The English Defence League are a racist, Islamophobic and Zionist organisation who have rioted in Luton, Dudley, Stoke, Bolton, Bradford, Newcastle...they have attacked Muslims including women and have desecrated Mosques. They have attempted to riot in London. The EDL held a "Freedom Of Speech" rally in support of Geert Wilders in London. They plan another demo in Holland on October 30th.

Especially left and liberal professionals and service intellectuals but also right-wing members of the intelligentsia vehemently attack and ridicule “conspiracy theories” such as the present 911 Truth movement.

Why? It’s as though power did not covertly orchestrate its predation of us? Is that not the modus operandi of power?

The English Defence League’s new strategy of ‘flash demo’s’ is providing mixed results.

For years, the United States and its allies have accused Iran of being a major nuclear threat because it has violated the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Ironically, the real violators of the NNPT are the same nations accusing Iran. The U.S. and its allies have never been able to confirm their accusations with concrete proof since they are based entirely on suspicion. While the media continues to attack Iran, illegal nuclear activities made by the West remain widely unknown to the public.

Since the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution in 1979 which toppled the U.S.-backed regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Iran has been facing with devastating and agonizing financial sanctions of the United States and its European allies. The most inequitable and unreasonable sanctions against Iran were those which would were endorsed in 1995 and disallowed the aviation companies around the world to sell aircrafts and repair parts to the Iranian airlines directly. Iran has experienced several deadly air accidents in which hundreds of innocent civilians lost their lives. The United States has failed to dictate its political will to Iran and resorts to this failure as a pretext for punishing its people.

Crivvens, all is not well at the house of the EDL what with the poor show at Bradford, the division over tactics and politics, the continued attendance of fascists at demos and the behaviour of unrepentant hooligans and ‘chav scrotes.’

After last year, 2010 brought another fiery summer in Italy’s detention centres for migrants (C.I.E.), where people are detained waiting to be deported. At the beginning of the summer the length of time of detention increased to 6 months, thanks to new “Security Package” approved by the government. Also, the Italian government has made a special agreements with Algeria and Tunisia to speed up the deportations of migrants coming from those countries. What my first trip to Iran in 2007 taught me is this: From the school children to the police officers to the college students to laborers to the Revolutionary Guard, no one in Iran obviously has been taught to hate Americans and no one was preparing the Iranian people to go to war with Americans. If the government is teaching children to hate Americans, some of that would pick up; but it wasn't like that at all. If American whites practiced what many of them preach to Muslims, they would ban themselves from building cultural institutions of any kind in much of the United States, since so many places are sites of depraved atrocities and mass killings of people of color by whites. Or, are only white folks’ “sensitivities” to be respected? Where is “hallowed ground” for descendants of Black slaves and Native Americans?

They have claimed that they are "marching against Palestinian militants of Brighton" and their supporters, "extreme socialist students and anarchists". They will be meeting at 12.30 noon 30th August.

August 23, New York, NY – In a major victory for the international movement for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel, the Norwegian government announced today that it has divested from Lev Leviev’s company Africa Israel Investments and its construction subsidiary Danya Cebus due to their construction of Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The move followed a campaign of more than a year by affected Palestinian villages of Bil’in and Jayyous and by Norwegian, Palestinian, Israeli, and international activist groups, including Adalah-NY, calling on the Norwegian government to divest from Africa Israel.

The companies of Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev have been the target of a boycott campaign that led UNICEF and Oxfam to renounce donations from Leviev, the British government to sever business ties with Leviev, celebrities to seek distance from him, and divestment by other major investment firms.
