GFEST: 2010 line-up will show a range of diversity from the gay ART PRIDE event

In it’s fourth year now, GFEST will present its 2010 programme on : http://www.gaywisefestival.org.uk The festival promises to present cutting edges of Proud and Loud Performances (from 18 to 20 Nov) at Cochrane Theatre, ‘Moving’ glbt Short Films at Rich Mix (from 11 to 13 Nov), Vibrant Rainbow Colours of Visual Arts in two Exhibitions (from 8 to 20 Nov) and a number of exciting events, debates, talks and parties (from 8 to 21 Nov) in venues across London.

GFEST which is supported by Mayor of London and a number of dignitaries and artists will take place in the capital of United Kingdom (UK) from Monday 8 November 2010 to Sunday 21 November 2010 (2 weeks).

The programme will show a range of diversity from the gay ART PRIDE event that is know as GFEST for short. In it’s fourth year now, GFEST will present cutting edges of Proud and Loud Performances (from 18 to 20 Nov) at Cochrane Theatre in Holborn, ‘Moving’ glbt Short Films at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green (from 11 to 13 Nov), Vibrant Rainbow Colours of Visual Arts in two Exhibitions (from 8 to 20 Nov) and a number of exciting events, debates, talks and parties (from 8 to 21 Nov) in venues across London.

In his message of support well known gay and human rights activists PETER TATCHELL said that GFEST artists are in the “frontline of queer culture, articulating our identities, experiences, triumphs and tragedies.” He urged people to go and see the festival. STEPHEN FRY in his recent message to GFEST- Gaywise FESTival said that he is “Proud and happy to support GFEST 2010, which does so much to promote the work of LGBT artists everywhere.” Renowned author SARAH WATERS said, “GFEST is a celebration of the wonderful diversity.. It’s so inspiring to see LGBT arts showcased in this way. I hope GFEST just gets bigger, bolder and more beautiful, year by year!”

GFEST has been seen as being hugely successful in recent years, with thousands of Londoners benefiting from the showcasing of emerging and established gay talent.

The festival is supported by leading parties in the UK. Arts charity Wise Thoughts, which organise the festival, would like to thank, for the continued support from Hon David Lammy, MP and one of the patrons of Wise Thoughts, Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt, the Secretary of Culture Media and Sports and Equalities Minster Hon Lynne Featherstone, MP.
