09-06-2008 22:42 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | London | World

Most of you will know about the attempt to build the "World's largest ever, high level, virus containment facility and animal testing lab" on a Camden council estate and next to St Pancras International.
They have hired a PR agency to "answer letters", which go ignored for months at a time. Campaigners want to know what will happen to the National Temperance hospital site, what safety plans are in place for the Kings Cross lab {B.L.I.S.S. - British Library International Science Site}

The NIMR are also hiring a security firm to guard the NIMR owned old National Temperance Hospital, Grant Security's LTD.

20-05-2008 14:55 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Other Press | London | World

We have a letter from Frank Dobson MP for Camden. {9th May} and it appears that the government are trying to do a deal. They are, it seems, trying to persuade the people of London to accept a deadly lab near Kings Cross in "return" for flats on the Hampstead Road site, currently owned by the NIMR. If built the lab will see the Somers Town estate and surround, patrolled by armed police.

16-05-2008 14:16 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Other Press | London | World

As you may be aware there is an attempt to build a deadly disease lab in London. There were 27 other bidders for the land at Brill Place next to St Pancras International in the heart of London's business district. Re : The rumours etc around Camden campaign / Candy Udwin etc.

13-05-2008 19:50 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Social Struggles | London | World

She did also try to persuade people at the meeting to accept the lab in Somers Town "in return for flats at the National Temperance site".
