On May 30th 2008 Sean was found guilty of "conspiracy to interfere with contractual relationships so as to harm an animal research organisation" and was sentenced to four and a half years for his role in running the SSAT (Stop Sequani Animal Testing) website.
Since his imprisonment there have been solidarity actions from Yorkshire, the south west and as far away as Mexico.

One of our friends Sean Kirtley was remanded in custody today after a jury found him guilty of Conspiracy to interfere with contractual relationships so as to harm animal research organisation. Rose Golding, Gemma Astbury and Wendy Clark have been found not guilty. Pauline Burgess and Jo Goodyear should have a verdict tomorrow.Sequani trial update

4.10pm Jury and defendants sent home until Monday 12th May @ 10.00am court 9 Birmingham crown court.No verdict was given today.
Today May 9th marks the 2nd anniversary of the police raids on animal activists homes.
Defendants have been on bail now for 2 years to this day.

The trial of the 6 brave animal liberation defendants fighting sec 145 Socpa is nearing an end after 3 and a half months at Birmingham crown court.The jury may well be sent out Monday 28th April.
