"Eco Warriors plan to hold the next climate camp in Hyde Park near Buckingham Palace, according to a leaked memo received by the Evening Standard" was the story splashed across two pages of the first edition of the London newspaper on Friday, 29 February 2008.BBC London broadcast exactly the same story later in the day, in spite of the fact that the national meeting of the Camp for Climate Action in Nottingham, which is planning to vote on the location for this summer's climate camp this weekend, had not even started yet.

Residents from flood stricken areas of Yorkshire and Humberside today blockaded the Government Office in Leeds to protest at its continued promotion of airport expansion. The Student Climate Project's Tour of Climate Action will see events at campuses around the country in 2008. The first event is being held in Cambridge from the 15th to 17th of February, and will see an exciting three days of arts, action, education, and also a chance to for everyone to get involved in the planning for the tour's future. The aim of the Student Climate Project, run through consensus decision making, is to encourage the wider body of students to take radical action against climate change.
