The campaign in the Brick Lane London E1 area against the hybrid 'Crossrail Bill' [UK House of Commons] is getting heightened this week. Campaigners are setting out conditions for individual councillors to show their full commitment to oppose the Crossrail hole attacks. The constitutional implications of this are significant. This includes the possibility of individual councillors being taken to court on their undertaking. Of they refuse to give such clear undertaking then the claim that local democracy works will be exposed as seriously false. Ordinary people will have to defe3nd the community against the Crossrail; attacks. And against similar environemntal, economic and social attacks moiyunted under covers of democracy.

Watergate investigative reporter CARL BERNSTEIN was shown in a BBC News 24 'Hardtack' interview with Stephen Sackur this morning [8 March 2006].Bernstein decried the media in the USA where local communities were fed up of being denied the coverage of their lives and of issues that mattered to their local communities. Bernstein could have been equally talking about the East End of London where the campaign against Crossrail whole attacks is being systematically excluded coverage by the so-called independent local press. One of those 'titles' is reviewed here by Khoodeelaaronline

The battle for the public ownership of community resource is taking place across the UK along side the battle against huge diversion of the resource to war and propaganda. Nowhere more consistently than in the East End of London. Quite appropriate, Bethnal Green and Bow MPO George Galloway is involved in the battle as much as any UK Parliamentary constituency Member of Parliament [MP] is ever seen to be. Galloway is due to support tonight’s Bow West campaign meeting against Crossrail attacks on the East End. Speakers include Carole Swords who has been harassed by the present Tower Hamkest Council for her defence of the community. Khoodeelaar! is backing the Bow West meeting.

Court action to force the East London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council to abandon its collusion with Crossrail hole attack plan on the community is about to be mounted. This has taken two years preparation and the community campaign group Khoodeelaar has published the first list of grounds today. The Crossrail hole Bill is a reference to the hybrid 'Crossrail Bill' now in the UK House of Commons

The threat posed to the East End of London by the UK Hosue of Commons draft piece of legislation, the CROSSRAIL Bill, goes beyond the planned destruction of entire communities and neighbourhoods. It also includes the destruction of what remains of local democracy, and the electors say on what is done in their name by their own 'locally elected council'. The Khoodeelaar! Campaign has just finalised the first comprehensive report on the role of those councillors who have held key posts in Tower Hamlets Council. They have acted as touts and as agents for Crossrail hole plan. Just as nominations for council elections begin to be finalised for the scheduled May 4 local elections, the findings of the Khoodeelaar! Investigation into Tower Hamlets Council make fascinating reading for all concerned with the defence of democracy in Britain.

Mingy Campbell's encouragement to the so-called 'debate' on free speech at the Lib Dems so-called Spring Conference was a definitive pro-racist tactic, only possible in the UK under Tiny Blair where the three main Parties are agreed on the Crusade against the Muslims. It is no longer pretence that the Crusade begun by the USA Neon Cons is aped loyally by all three UK parties. The loss is to what remained of democracy until Saturday 4 March 2006 at Harrogate

Who is doing a Tessa Jowell on the East End of |London, then? It must be Tower Hamlets Council, without a doubt. But who is the Tony Blair minister that could be linked with that sort of deed, too close for comfort, sort of thing? Come forward Tony McNulty! And George Galloway is watching you this time! For sure! The hybrid Crossrail Bill [UK House of Commons] is still draft piece of legislation. But it may soon get passed into the UK statute Book and the powers it contains may soon begin to be applied to destroy communities including in the East End of London. This is bigger than any environmental disaster that ahs been planned and carried out on any part of London by any UK Government. That it is that massive can be seen in the very close involvement of many of Tony Blair’s ministers with key pushers of the Crossrail hole Bill attacks on the East End. Tony McNulty, now a Home Office Minister, is one such very closely involved. There are huge constitutional implications apart from the daily Khoodeelaar! chronicles of the social, the economic and the environmental ones.

UK Transport Secretary Alistair Darling MP has had his Department for Transport [DfT] write to the Khoodeelaar! Campaign in the East End of London against the Crassrail hole Bill as part of a strategy to salvage the careers of the controlling Blairite Tower Hamlets Council. Khoodeelaar! held another powerful demonstration against that Council on Wednesday 1 March 2006.
The 1 March 2006 Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole Council demo was supported by RESPECT coalition MP George Galloway and by the main Opposition on Tower Hamlets Council, the Liberal Democrats. At the Council meeting that followed the same evening, Lib Dem councillor Louise Alexander sought to have Tower Hamlets show recognition to the community and to identify with the community in opposing the Crassrail hole plan attacks Bill.
The controlling clique failed to recognize the momentous importance of the motion and they even jeered at Councillor Alexander part of the time that she was presenting her arguments in support of the motion.
The only other non-Lib Dem councillor who supporter Louise Alexander was the RESPECT councillor Oliur Rahman
In his speech at the Khoodeelaar! demonstration earlier in the evening, Oliur Rahman described the controlling clique on Tower Hamlets Council as crooks and vowed to do everything he and his colleagues could do to remove them from office at the scheduled 4 May 2006 council elections.

Sixty two years ago, on 23 February 1944, Stalin ordered the forcible deportation of the Chechen, Ingush and other nations of the North Caucasus to Central Asia. The people who were were transported with little or no provision in cattle trucks and more than half died in transit or in massacres committed by Soviet troops. Those who survived the journey were left facing starvation and disease in the harsh winters of Siberia and Central Asia. In 2004 the European Parliament passed a motion formally recognising this tragedy as a genocide.

The 'local' East London Advertiser which circulates mainly in Tower Hamlets has shown that it is as prejudiced and as ignorant of the facts in the community's life in February 2006 as it was a hundred years ago when the cause of democracy and transparency became the hottest local topics. In the almost three years since late 2003 that local people have camapaigned against Crossrail, the East London Advertiser has not been able to publish one report without tainting the facts with ignorance and misinformation. Today's weekly print edition of the paper continues the anti-social record by giving Greater London Assembly member and arch Blarite John Biggs a wholly unwarranted space to peddle more myths to make the perniociuous Crossrail plan acceptable
