Eric Pickles is featured more than once about the “rotten borough” of Tower Hamlets, London in the next issue of “Private Eye” (Issue 1379) (dated 14 Nov to 27 Nov 2014). Does the "Private Eye" coverage take the "crisis" to any resolution?
Eric Pickles is featured more than once about the “rotten borough” of Tower Hamlets, London in the next issue of “Private Eye” (Issue 1379) (dated 14 Nov to 27 Nov 2014).
Does the "Private Eye" coverage take the "crisis" to any resolution? The Community in the Borough are not impressed by either Pickles or by his vaunted PR adversaries in the personages of G Galloway and Ken Livingstone, due to appear in the Mile End Road in the next 55 minutes, apparently in defence of the local Council's "mayor".
The local Community is not impressed for the simple reason that neither Mr Pickles nor his stated opponents not have shown much respect for the Community’s views!
They (Pickles, Galloway et al) are in their own ways trying to appeal to the Community for heir own agendas
This is why a new grassroots Campaign has been launched this evening (Weds 12 Nov 2014) in Tower Hamlets called VOTERS
Here are its modest aims
VOTERS Spelled out -
Voice
Of the Community in
Tower Hamlets in
East London asserting the
Right to democratic fair and ethical
Services from those seeking or getting our votes!
