For a while now the www.indymedia.org site, which unlike others is not named after a specific location, has been in a bad shape: Little real content, piles of spy troll disinformation, apparently randomly selected cross-postings, the full scope of symptoms of siege by government agencies. It appears that the administration collective would have drained out and the site was idle for days? And yet it occurs that postings that are trying to change that are being deleted in real time while the low level deception continues.
Any hacker who knows how to put the stethoscope on a running Mir installation can observe that there is hectic activity behind the scenes while it appears the place was merely neglected. For that it is not even required to break anything but only to count a bit ahead and between the numbering conventions of the pre-php cms.
What is going on there? It is most probably the usual suspects, it is technically possible even without infiltration of the operating group if one has the means to break logins. It seems another example how depraved a political system is that cannot speak for itself but instead chooses to abuse the identity of its opponents. Of course this deserves serious consequences without a decade of delay. But before it can be judged appropriately, it must be uncovered from the inside. For now only the heartbeat of it says with all due urgency that this installation is not alright.
