This week's show features stories from Spanish National Radio, the Voice of Russia, NHK World Radio Japan, Radio Havana Cuba, and Radio Deutsche-Welle.
From SPAIN- The government of Brazil is auctioning off rights to the largest oil discovery- violent protests are increasing. Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have released major reports on how US drone strikes are killing civilians in Yemen and Pakistan. The French are angry over reports that the NSA has been spying on them. Britain announced plans to build a new nuclear power plant.
From RUSSIA- The approval for a new nuclear power plant in Britain has created many controversies- the actual cost of energy from a nuke is one of them.
From JAPAN- The Fukushima nuclear plant was lashed by a typhoon last weekend leading to more radiation overflowing into the Pacific Ocean. As this show is recorded, another typhoon is ready to strike the area.
From CUBA- US whistleblower Edward Snowden says that Russia and China have nor received any classified documents about US spying programs. A fresh series of US drone attacks in Afghanistan have left at least 18 dead.
From GERMANY- The French find that the NSA recording of their phone calls "unacceptable." In a rebuke of US spying in Europe, lawmakers called for the suspension of an agreement that allows the US access to bank data for terror related investigations. The German government has received and verified information that the NSA has spied on Chancellor Merkel's mobile phone calls. The EU has called for tougher gun laws. The EU is set to reopen talks about Turkey joining the EU. Russia changed the charges against Greenpeace protestors from piracy to hooliganism.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
