A talk from ex US Black Panther, community organiser and youth worker, JoNina Abron-Ervin about the Black Power Movement and her book: “Driven by the Movement: Activists of the Black Power Era”. JoNina is a journalist, author, retired educator, and veteran African-American community organizer.

Antifascist struggle in the U.S. and solidarity cafe
Lorenzo Kom’Boa Ervin has been a community activist since the 1960s, within movements such as the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and the Black Panther Party, and first learned about anarchism in prison in the 1970s. He will talk about the struggle against racism and fascism in the U.S. The Ku Klux Klan is beginning its new push to build a fascist and racist-based mass movement among the white population in the United States. Learn how the anti-fascist activists beat back the Klan in Tennessee, what they believe the Klan is up to, and how the fascists can be beat back in every country.
