Frontline workers at social housing landlord Curo are seeing first hand how families in B&NES are struggling to make ends meet.
The imposition of the bedroom tax and B&NES Council's decision to cut council tax benefit by 10% has meant that people who were barely coping are now at breaking point. "We have had several occasions where people are on the point of wanting to take their own lives and that is something we are giving training on"
Curo has 885 tenants affected by the bedroom tax and 58% of them have already fallen into rent arrears.
