This week's show features stories from NHK World Radio Japan, Spanish National Radio, Radio Havana Cuba, Radio Deutsche-Welle, and the Voice of Russia.
From JAPAN- Nearly every government welcomed the reelection of Barack Obama- here is Japan's. A Japanese atomic bomb survivors group asked that Obama quit conducting nuclear tests and abolish nuclear weapons stockpiles. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission of Japan cannot agree on the danger of earthquake faults beneath the only nuclear power plant currently operating in Japan. Hundreds of radiation monitors in Japan are giving inaccurate low readings. The dispute over islands in the East China Sea has prompted some Japanese firms to close factories in China.
From SPAIN- Greek trade unions are on strike, battling riot police across the nation. Then several press reviews on the Catalan independence movement in Spain. Staff at Spanish newspaper El Pais have gone on strike over plans to slash the workforce. South African police are accused of planting weapons on the striking miners they killed in August. The Federal Court of Australia has found the credit ratings agency Standard and Poors guilty of misleading investors before the global financial meltdown. In Guatemala, indigenous leaders are under attack for their human rights campaigns.
From CUBA- Bolivia continues sending aid to Cuba to help recover from Hurricane Sandy. At the UN Cuba denounced illegal US radio and TV propaganda aimed at the island. Representatives from the Colombian government and FARC rebels are holding talks in Cuba.
From GERMANY- In Bahrain 31 opposition activists have been stripped of their citizenship. In Mali, an Islamic group has offered peace talks with the central government. 4 Israeli military chiefs are on trial in absentia in Turkey for the deaths of 9 Turks on a relief boat to Gaza.
From RUSSIA- President Eisenhower gave a memorable farewell speech over 50 years ago coining the term the military industrial complex. A commentary on how relevant the words are to today's economic and geopolitical crises.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via
Podcast- feed://www.radio4all.net/responder.php/podcast/podcast.xml?series=outFarpress+presents
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron."
--Dwight D Eisenhower
