Last Wednesday’s [19 September 2012] Full Council held with Tower Hamlets Borough’s executive mayor Lutfur Rahman in attendance, heard Labour Councillor Denise Jones say that she was ashamed as she observed that Lutfur Rahman was refusing to answer Questions or speak about issues that were of concern to the residents.

What Denise Jones was relying on were the couple of topics that did indeed expose the Lutfur Rahman administration to serious questions. One was the allegation against Goolam Rabbani, Lutfur Rahman’s long standing campaign manager, that he had fiddled his expenses claims. The other was the petition presented by the Bangladeshi community radio station Betar Bangla in effect demanding the Boishaki Mela contract given to Lutfur Rahman’s alleged business backer Shiraj be reviewed and put on a proper tender.
Last night, the talking Brick Lane was that Lutfur was fast losing hold on his administration.
So, how true is that?
It is truer on the social cleansing front than would be suggested by the Rabbani fiddles allegation and the Boishaki Mela contract.
Betar bangle is now investigating social cleansing that ahs been going on under Lutfur Rahman’s nose.

And as the Channeli Europe, a Bangladeshi community cahnnel on the satellite, announced on its Straight Dialogue programme on 5 September 2012, the severity of the Social Cleansing has been witnessed in a spectacular attack on world class resource centre and library foundation in the very hear of Brick Lane. ChanneiEurope is preparing to broadcast the reports in the near future.
Insiders say that Tower Hamlets Council employees have been complicit in the assault dubbed Blitzkrieg in Brick Lane”.

ChanneiEurope is also preparing to broadcast number of reports showing how the housing crisis is being artificially kept alive in Tower Hamlets.

Observers worry that the huge hype about “ethic representation” on the Council’s highest levels may now be becoming such a liability that the failing Tower Hammiest Council may soon become a synonym for poor standards not unconnected with ethnicity linked bids for positions.

The losers ironically of Tower Hamlets Council’s social cleanings are the very ethnicity linked community whose name and whose plight are often used by ethnicity linked power seekers.

You had said in the above post in September 2012:

"Observers worry that the huge hype about “ethnic representation” on the Council’s highest levels may now be becoming such a liability that the failing Tower Hamlets Council may soon become a synonym for poor standards not unconnected with ethnicity linked bids for positions."

Guardian reports on London University assault on Warburg Institute

11.08.2014 13:44

There is a lot of comparisons between the original piece on the Blitzkrieg on the Brick Lane-based Resources in August-September 2012 and the Guardian's defence (10 August 2014 online and 11 August 2014 print editions) of the Warburg Collection now under a sophisticated thuggery dressed up as a legalistic attack by the London University which has been plotting for sometime to destroy the Warburg.
