30th NOVEMBER 2011
From Midnight Thursday 29th November - 12 Noon Saturday 3rd December 2011
Education, Health Care, Civil Liberties, Pensions, Employment, Legal Aid, Libraries, Housing,
the list goes on.......
Meanwhile, we are expected to find money to pay the EU bankers for the financial crisis created by their own greed and incompetence.
WE PAY THEIR BILLS !
WILL THEY PAY OURS?........NO!......THEY SEND THE BAILIFFS!
The on-going war in Afghanistan has cost BILLIONS. Soldiers, civilians, women and children have been killed and seriously wounded. WHAT FOR?
…..Because endless global wars are HUGLY PROFITABLE.
Why then, do we all go along with it? We know it's wrong, yet we submit like sheep everyday !
Sorry, but by complying, we allow our Government to wage illegal, immoral wars of aggression.
If we really want to address the situation and deliver justice to the people of Afghanistan, if we really want to regain our self respect as a nation and as a people, then we must unite and stand together to DEMAND that our Government stops hostilities and orders the troops home. Some will have to stay for humanitarian reasons.
We don't need a world full of armies opposing each other. We need to feed the hungry, tend to the sick, and clothe and shelter the poor. That is the duty of humankind, whether we like it or not.
It's not rocket science!
Reality check- Let's all unite and go on strike together for all the reasons mentioned, with the aim of actually achieving our objective.
10 years of protesting, marching, campaigning and lobbying has simply not been enough!
We have NOT STOPPED ANY WAR..........THEREFORE....
“TO END WAR - THE PEOPLE MUST GO ON STRIKE”
We now need to SHUT DOWN for 3 Days in order for our strike to be effective.
By collectively being on “Peace Strike” together, we – the ordinary people – become the most powerful that we can be. We will send a clear message to our government that we will not support any acts of aggression towards innocent citizens of any country… we will not be deceived into waging wars for ‘Global Corporate’ greed and power.
“INTERNATIONAL STRIKE FOR PEACE”
Including pensioners, housewives, students, claimants, the disabled, families, etc., joining together in solidarity for peace.
*Note This does not include emergency workers and carers, whose work and travel we support. Police, Fire Service, Nurses, Doctors, Ambulance Crews, Carers, and Emergency Utility Workers.
*WITHDRAW LABOUR* No Work
*NO SHOPPING* Boycott all shops & supermarkets
*SHUTDOWN* Nurseries, Schools, Colleges, Universities
*DO NOT BUY PETROL* Boycott all petrol stations
*NO TRANSPORT* Except emergency & essential workers
*NO TV* Boycott the TV networks – they sensationalise war
Forward Plan:
Prepare for the strike days in advance so that we are organised and have enough food, drink and medical supplies to carry us over a week to facilitate any disruption our action may cause us.
Make sure we have enough provisions for children and the elderly, our families, not forgetting any pets.
Let people in your area know, including older and vulnerable people, so they have time to prepare.
Enjoy your time off to relax and reflect; spend precious time with family and friends. Treat it like you would an extended Christmas break.
* If necessary, we will continue to call follow-up strikes, in order to make our Government comply with the wishes 0f the people -who elected them- and whom they serve.
Under international law it is a criminal offence to assist in a crime against humanity, a crime against peace and a crime of genocide. Therefore to go ‘ON STRIKE FOR PEACE’ to save life can only be a moral duty and not an offence in law.
(Source: Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, Article 25)
(c) For the purpose of facilitating the commission of such a crime, aid, abet or otherwise assist in its commission or its attempted commission, including providing the means for its commission
We ask all people to be united in peaceful non-violent inaction.
Pass the message on, nationally and internationally.
Peace Strike operates a 24-hour on-going 'Peace Picket' at Parliament Square, London, UK.

Vested interests

Trouble is, wars are profitable, not for the ordinary Joe Bloggs, but for weapon manufacturers, goverments and others who have a financial vested interest in making war. As usual, of course, those vested interest toerags don't actually do any fighting. They don't get wounded, killed, have their homes destroyed, do they? Instead, they put out a load of hogwash to substantiate their so-called necessary wars. Let's face it, everybody knows Saddam Hussein was going to attack Britain, eh? Mmmmm? And let's not forget that wars destroy loads of infrastructure, damaged buildings having to be replaced, creating huge building contracts, contracts that almost always go to building companies of the attacking countries.
You say to go on strike? Yes, but I don't think the masses read any Indymedia postings, and it's the masses who need to strike to have a substantial effect. Even then, many of the masses are like sheep led to slaughter. They almost certainly not wanting to strike, they being lazy, or maybe thinking there's no point, the goverment won't submit to strikers, etc. When protest marches occur, only a minority generally turn out to march, but there are many who would but who can't due to working commitments and/or other important reasons. Some of these last folk do, of course, also rest on their laurels, so to speak, leaving it to a minority of marchers to hopefully win the day! And goverments love that sort of set-up, they seeing no small protest marches as a threat.
If the masses were to strike, that would surely deprive loads of money-grabbing greedy scumbags of much money, especially rolling strikes et al. I can't think of many punishments to outdo that of money deprivation. Greedy scum hate losing money! Eh? We should all not put the blame on only bankers; bankers, goverments, company CEOs, shareholders and their ilk have all been dipping their greedy hands into pots of money belonging to those they robbed. Extortion springs to mind!

Cost of War
31.10.2011 16:22
Yes exactly. But also due to the cost of the Iraq war. Stacey Herbert and Max Keiser talked about this on this Keiser report, starting at 8:40 on this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpAiy_YVf08&feature=share
They are saying the cost of extracting oil went up party due to the inflation that payed for the war. So the increased price of oil is a part of the price we are paying for going to war.
The video also mentions Tony Blair's retirement fund. If I had anything to do with it he wouldn't be having a retirement but would be having a stay in HM Prison somewhere.

Of course Iraq, Libya. and bombing every day in Pakistan has, and is part of the problem that has led us to were we are now! THAT'S EXACTLY THE POINT!
WE HAVE NOT STOPPED ANY WAR BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO! WHY SHOULD THEY?
THE VERY REASON IS, BECAUSE WE COMPLY........THEY CARRY ON .
More wars are on the horizon, we have nothing to loose.
ACT NOW WHILE WE CAN!
