i didnt know someone was charged with it who apparently worked there. can you show proof of this, is it widely available and are you certain no 'groups' had anything to do with it?
if its true, then i do accept it ws perhaps a tad 'jumpin the gun'. i was merely happy that apparently anarchists in cambridge were fighting back against the car industry. please accept my apology, no trolling intended. i dont have ready access to news and when i saw the story i thought id republish it here to show anarchists that act that they are not alone. if the former employee used anarchist style communique, well then yes, he/she's a dick for doing that to bring heat to comrades in cambs. although, its still a good thing the place got burned down, in my opinion..........

If anyone's taken in by this idiot posting agent-provocateur shit about Conspiracy Trolls of Fire, they'd do well to remember the case of Green Anarchist magazine, which was infiltrated by Nazis like its editor Richard Hunt, a long-term collaborator of former NF activist and New Right "leader" Troy Southgate, and by ex-Nazi turned Searchlight spy Tim Hepple. The other original editors of Green Anarchist were basically pacifists, while (surprise surprise) Hunt and Hepple tried to push the magazine / group towards ever more violent confrontations....

Under his mis-direction, Green Anarchist published articles supporting the British Army in Iraq, and the magazine later went on to support mass-murderer Timothy McVeigh, poison gas attacks by the Japanese cult Aum Shinrykyo, and the serial killer Ted Kaczynski, who is predictably also praised in Datacide magazine's agent-provocateur spin-off shit-rag 325 magazine. Timothy McVeigh had a huge infuence on Nazi nailbomber David Copeland - both were directly inspired by a Nazi genocide book called The Turner Diaries, written by BNP conference delegate William Pierce (using the pen-name "Andrew Macdonald"). Indymedia is being used to repeat the same trick.

Maybe it was anarchos, maybe it wasn't, but I don't see why there needs to be an automatic dismissal of these kinds of reports as the work of the state. Anarchists don't always agree on tactics or targets.

Agent-provocateurs don't necessarily work for the State. Sometimes they work for the State, sometimes they work for the media, sometimes they work for employers organisations, sometimes they work for organised crime or right-wing groups, sometimes they work for combinations of these, sometimes they do it because (as was the case with Tim Hepple) they just enjoy violence. Even more dangerous are people who aren't deliberate agent-provocateurs but who just do REALLY STUPID THINGS.... because they're stupid

The comment says that a 32 year old has been arrested, but doesn't give any link. It doesn't come up on google, and the arrest is not covered by the paper that originally reported it.

And, by the by, even if someone had been arrested, that wouldn't necessarily mean that they had actually done anything at all. Would it?

This is just a few stupid kids who don't know anything about what anarchism really is and they just want to feel like they are important and that they have something to say, but they have nothing to say to the workers when they do this. They should listen to us older anarchists because we know what we are talking about when we talk about anarchism because Britain has one of the strongest and most well organised decent anarchist movements in the world. These dumb kids are ruining it for us all at a time when the workers are really looking for something new and we don't want them to go towards the right-wing by getting scared away from lunatics who want insurrection rather than a workplace assembly. They need anarchism. These kids should try to organise at work (if they do) by getting everyone together at work and organising a wild-cat strike or demanding better pay! They should be active in their local area with the community and put themselves at their service, like helping old grannies across the road and helping with their washing, even getting a youth group going is better than setting bloody cars on fire!

I came here following the Cambridge Evening News article expecting to find some deeper reasoning behind the attack in this statement beyond ‘step 1 – burn stuff, step 2 – ???, step 3 – freedom and equality for all’.

I’ve been expecting to see direct resistance to the sorry state of things for some time and am disappointed by the arrogance of this little statement and dehumanisation of the public who are.. your enemies? the people you want to save? it’s not even clear..

Undoubtedly this act was powerfully liberating at a personal level to step over the lines and do such a thing but I would love some more introspection from those involved and a bit of intellectual weight behind your actions (but then again I’m not overly familiar with the anarchist movement, do you excuse yourselves from having to explain such things?)

IAF / Cell of Joy claim arson attack against prison vehicle in Nottingham (UK)

A visit to Nottingham Prison last night [12/10] culminated in a fire being started underneath a prison vehicle. It had just gone nine when we arrived and after tagging some nearby walls with the messages of “Fire to the Prisons” and “Solidarity to those kidnapped”, we quickly and quietly stepped to the vehicles, lit our fires and took off quickly into the night.

This attack was not a request, or a demand that the prisons improve, or that the judicial system becomes more fair. We attacked because our comrades have been kidnapped, and we will show solidarity in anyway we can. Solidarity to all those captured during and after the riots, to the anti-fascists imprisoned because of the usual web of lies spun by the cops and their pals, and to all those who feel the urge to resist whenever the moment seems ripe. We did this in order to show solidarity with the actions of the IRF Bristol’s action at the Law courts a few nights ago, and to our Cambridge brothers and sisters acting with such fierce love and rage.

The prisons are where they hold us when they can not control us, they are the threat they hold over us, but what they can not understand is that the greater threat to us is for us not to act. For us to be stifled by the conditions and the conditioning of this society. When we act in away that unleashes our rage, when we act in away that brings us joy then we are able to unleash a glorious FUCK YOU! A FUCK YOU with blood and spittle, a FUCK YOU directed plainly at those who benefit most from this diseased social system.
