This morning 5 members of the Rossport solidarity camp blockaded Shell Oil from accessing thier proposed compound in Glengad Co.Mayo.
The protesters held two banners infront of the main entrance they read "Shell out" and "Engergy should not cost the Earth."
There was very little hassel and almost no gardi to interfere ( they drove past twice). Despite the calmness of the blockaide the IRMS security still felt it was nessesary to employ over 20 people to stand around all morning.
This action followered another blockaide yesterday that also lasted for around 3 hours.
We have set up our camp and need some people to come an help us get it ready before Shells work starts. We are holding a work weekend this comming weekdend and all are welcome to come along.
