The attacks on Libya started after the US, European and Arab leaders backed military action against the country following an emergency meeting in Paris on Saturday. Airstrikes on Libya continued on Sunday. A loud blast has reportedly been heard in Tripoli amid anti-aircraft barrage. The United States and Britain have said the aerial attacks have been "successful" and the no-fly zone is now "in place." This is while experts say the main motive behind the Western allies' attack is the vast oil reserves in the North African country.
