Thanks to everyone who could make it to Hammertime. Unfortunately the turnout was below what we have had on previous demos and as the first mass demo since the decommissioners' victory it was met with heavy police repression. With an early morning police surge on the convergence space and a policy of pre-emptive mass arrests the day did not go entirely to plan. However, on a more positive note, the demo and accompanying police operation managed to more or less shut EDO down for the day.

So, where now? It is important to remember that Smash EDO is a determined campaign: We are going to be there until they are not. The Wednesday noise demos (4-6 outside EDO/ITT every week) are as important as the bigger gatherings. If you have not been down for a while, why not come along to show them that we will not be silenced whatever they do!
One of the most successful noise demos of the year is normally the HALLOWEEN NOISE DEMO. This year it will take place on WEDNESDAY THE 27TH of October, between 4-6 outside the factory. Come wearing your scariest Halloween mask and be ready to spook them out...
