A request is being made for the police to arrest the former soldier who has been threatening and terrorising the Camp for Climate Action in Edinburgh.
Posting on Twitter under the name of wearethebritish the ex serviceman has threatened to attack the climate campers and to burn down the climate camp.

There is a group of Scottish members of the English Defence League, the right wing neo Nazi fascist organisation that attacks Muslims, claiming to be lurking about outside the climate camp with plans to attack.
It would be helpful if the climate camp police liaison team would make an official complaint to the police as well.
Obviously calling the police should always be the last resort but in this case there is a serious risk that the threats and intimidation could end with the violence that has been threatened and tragic consequences.
It is better to be safe than sorry and let's hope that the stalker gets the professional help with his mental problems that he so obviously needs.

You are protesting and these men hate you for exercising you democratic rights. Odd that they should be former soldiers though.
Having just tried to bring democracy to Iraq and Afghanistan seems very strange that they don't know what it means at home. The British Army is fundamentally an authoritarian non democratic organisation so it is indeed very foolish to expect army types to understand what it really means.
Then again this guy might just be a loonie.
