Egyptian navy kill a fisherman in Gaza, and Israeli troops detain civilians form the West Bank. These stories and more, coming up, stay tuned.

Egyptian navy killed on Wednesday a Palestinian fisherman of the southern Gaza shoreline. Mohamed Al Bardaweel, 44 years old, was killed when an Egyptian Navy vessel rammed his boat, witnesses reported.

The Hamas-run government accused Egypt of killing the man intentionally. The Egyptian navy denied the accusation and said that vessel hit the fishing boat by mistake because the fisherman did not turn on his lights.

This is not the first time Hamas and Egypt trade accusations. Last week Hamas accused the Egyptian army of killing four tunnel workers at the southern Gaza Borders.

Hamas said the workers were killed by being gassed to death; Egypt denied and said that men were killed when the tunnel they work in caved on them.

In other developments, Israel is planning to construct a new settlement surrounding east Jerusalem.

According the Islamic Christian Commission in support of Jerusalem and holy sites the new settlement will consists of 12,000 homes for 45, 000 settlers. The new settlement will be built on lands owned by villagers of al Walaja near Jerusalem.

Earlier on Wednesday the Israeli military detained 15 Palestinian civilians during pre dawn invasions targeting a number of west Bank communities.

The Israeli military announced that all those detained today were on what it calls its “wanted list”. The army added that the arrestees were moved to military detention camps for questioning.

Palestinian sources reported house-to-house search campaigns in the cities of Hebron and Bethlehem, southern West Bank, as well as Jenin, Nablus and Salfit, in the north.
