end childslavery by the Dutch!

Foolish European Mothers | 21.02.2010 12:37 | Globalisation | Repression | Social Struggles | Birmingham | World

Childslavery by the Dutch. Children as young as 6 are taken from their parents without any reason and rented out to work in France and Germany and European ministers do NOTHING! Children work up to 18 hours a day or they will get no food.

They get no education. they are not insured for work related accidents. They work in factories and on the land, sanding doors, picking apples driving tractors,factorylinework, cleaning out cow/goat stables, heavy lifting and no safety mearures. One kid fell 4 m out of a tree and was injured, so the company decided the costs of 'repair' were too high and gave the child back to the parents to pay for the medical bills.The minister Rouvoet does NOTHING!

They sand doors pick apples drive tractors do tedious tasks clean out cow or goat stables factoyline work and they are not insured and do not go to school.

You can sleep for free in the Hague during the rally. Just go to couchsurfing and ask for a place to stay and mention it is for the rally on the 14th of march against childslavery.

End Child Slavery in the Netherlands and Globally.

21.02.2010 20:53

Mother Jones in the U.S.A. gathered the childeren that were forced to work in the factories in the late 18 hundreds of last century and held a childeren's parade down the east coast of America to Washington D.C. These children suffered from loss of limbs and broken bones, sleep deprivation and other malfunctioning discomforts. At first Mother Jones was abused and harrased, but eventurally the media picked up on what she was doing. Child labour was restricted and the children were made to go to public schools for an education, healthcare, and the child protection laws became the laws of the land. Victory to Mother Jones and the children. Perhaps such a march of the enslaved children should be organized in the Netherlands and given worldwide attention in the Independent and alternative media. That would end the practice very quickly, and provide new laws for healthy living and working condtitions, such as organic agricultural communes, so healthy organic foods could be grown and eaten.

the 'law'

24.02.2010 17:12

Someone from Holland posted this on an open forum;
Did you actually read the law on childslabour? 'Cause if you did, you would have known that the law actually allows camps like this to exist:

For our non-dutchies:
The law states that labour (physical or mentally) is prohibited if it's for our economical benefit. The law allows children to work if it has an educational/pedagogical purpose, which is the case.

I rest my case.

The company is paid and the work is for profit of the factory / farmer.
There is no educational pedagogical benefit.
