Call-out for international week against biotechnologies

Have received this call-out from Italy, read and support if you can/want

15-21 FEBRUARY
INTERNATIONAL WEEK OF FIGHTING AGAINST BIOTECHNOLOGIES

When the alpine arch technological stripe, in its barycenters constituted by Geneva and Grenoble, will light completely, when the pole’s points of competente like biotechnologies of Losanna, the physics and IT of Cern in Geneva, the solar energy of Chambery, and the nanotechnologies of Grenoble will create a long “backbone” we will have won.
(Jean Therme, technologies research director and CEA’s manager)

The urge to stop the advance of biotechnologies can’t any more afford to be confined to a specific territorial area. The manipulation which is taking place is circular and in any possible ways tries to close it self. Its control’s branches have reached global proportions. Every single state is called on to prepare and get ready to accept every aspects of this so- called “engineered of the living”, with the support of the entire public research sector, which aims to generate the new “chimeras” that are supposed to save the world. All this with the support of the international finance, the World Bank(WB), and the trade organizations.
Although the biggest support comes from the existing environmental devastation, and the need of continuous resources, in which the so called “ Life sciences” posit themselves as the new green solution. Meanwhile, few multinationals own the monopoly on , and rule over this so called “Green Revolution” which stands for unlimited possibilities at developing even more profit, in a cyclic system in which the noxiousness generates more noxiousness. Their ruling management has become even more certain with the massive use of patents and various owned licences, which turn the manipulation of plants, of animals ,or of a human being into a matter of property rights.
Starting from GM cultivation’s monoculture, to transgenic animals and modification of the germinal line, “something more than a simple GM product which we could find on supermarket’s shelves”, they represent a substantial attack on the living in which the domination becomes total. .
The multinational domination in the southern countries of the world could be identified with the imposition to farmers of buying sterile GM crops which has had, as a consequence, the destruction of ancient and original ecosystem varieties.
A natural world full of unique biodiversity is disappearing for good, just like vast parts of the Amazon’s forest, in order to make room for new GM plantation and bio-fuels.
Destruction of ancient knowledge to shut ancient seeds and parts of wild life into germ plasm’s conservation banks, the same side of the coin of a system that while destroys try to preserves,
But a frozen seed in between two glasses conserved hundreds of meters inside the Arctic permafrost becomes only the reifyed image of an artificial world which has lost completely its nature, a system that needs to circumscribe(limit), to shut the natural and the savage which is left in order to better control it, and turn it into an object of property, to use it as a tool of blackmail and power, in relation with the today’s varieties.
There’s a string which pulls together southern and northern countries, here the multinationals have got their research centers and their offices. In here too their power shows it self in a more obscure way, creating false illusions and needs, that are seen as required and accepting the new prosthesis or so – called technological innovations.
As they shut seeds into the ice they shut our minds in an eternal present of good consumption.
They make room to themselves with the approval of biotech researches in the medical field, levering (prizing) playing on health’s blackmail, they gain ground with the creation of vitamin A enriched seeds “ which are supposed to solve starvation in the world”, still playing on charities of the rich countries so that they can have a clean conscience. Once a research has been approved, whichever it is, or a GM seed has been planted, their circle will shrink always more and more till it closes itself.
So here we are to look at the Minatech Idea’s Lab researchers thinking of how to stop any kind of disagreement towards nano technologies, trying to avoid any mistakes previously done with GM.
We watch at the billionaire investments for new research, international forum between scientists and manufacturers, and we are starting to see experimental GM fields.
All this can’t be reduced simply to the choice of wanting or not wanting to consume GM food, we have to understand that genetic engineering has a huge impact on the destruction of the planet., and how important is for the survival of the system itself.
We have to understand how the interconnected networks of power work: biotechnologies, nano technologies, neuroscience, IT. To a global attack on the living the response has to be global.
From South to North we must break the circle, which they want to become ineluctable.
For this reason we have thought of calling for an international week of fighting against biotechnologies, where everyone can contribute in accordance with his/her priorities against genetic engineering and its vast and deadly manifestations.
As a coalition against noxiousness we have spotted EFSA as a starting point, EFSA is the European body for food safety, with its main offices in Parma, it’s a central body which the European Commission refers (to) for the approval of various noxiousness among those OGM.
Right now that EFSA is giving the go- ahead to one GM after the other, it has to express its opinion on the authorization of the umpteenth GM Monsanto’s maize (corn) MON810 and Bayer’s GM rice LLRICE62

AGAINST EFSA, MONSANTO AND BAYER!
LET’S STOP GENETIC ENGINEERING NOW!
