On day 68 of the solidarity hunger strike taking place outside the US embassy in London, campaigners and supporters gather together once again to call on the US Administration to take action to release 36 Camp Ashraf hostages being held by factional groups within the Iraqi security force.

The men have now been moved to a secure facility in Baghdad despite the third ruling of an Iraqi court of law that the men must be released immediately.

The welfare of the hostages is now of critical importance.

The residents of Camp Ashraf itself continue with their hunger strikes demanding the men be released at once.

In recent weeks, the hunger strikers have won the support of members of the British House of Lords, the Anglican church and human rights organisations around the world. However, all calls and appeals to the British Government have failed, primarily due to the British Government being unable to excercise influence on the international stage.

In recent days, the British Labour party have held their yearly conference in Brighton in the run up to the now urgent General election. During the conference, it became abundantly clear that attendee and delegate numbers were severely down on previous years, signalling that domestic support for the British Labour Party, and therefore the British Government, has completely collapsed.

Tell the truth!

Camp Ashraf was set up by Saddam as a military training camp for the MKO to launch terrorist attacks inside Iran. As a military camp the MKO had tanks, heavy artillery, etc. And after the gulf war when Saddam could no longer trust his military he used the MKO as his personal elite army. They massacring the Kurds in the north and the Shia in the south. These so-called 'hostages' are war criminals and should be put on trial.
