The News Cast
Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that several residents were wounded in a series of Israeli air strikes carried out by the Israeli air force. The attacks happened shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning and targeted several neighborhoods in Gaza city, Jabalia and Rafah.
The airstrikes were aimed at blacksmiths workshops, residential areas, and farm lands.
Later in the day, one Palestinian farmer was reported injured by Israeli army fire in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. Twenty-three-year-old Ziyad Haddad was working on his land when Israeli troops from a nearby military post opened fire at him, witnesses told media.
Medical sources announced that Haddad sustained moderate wounds after being hit by multiple rounds in his legs.
Elsewhere, six Palestinian civilians were kidnapped on Wednesday during Israeli military invasions targeting several parts of the West Bank.
Israeli army radio announced that four men were taken during pre-dawn invasions. The army radio report added that all four are on what the Israeli army calls “the wanted list” and they have been taken to detention camps.
Later in the day Palestinian sources added that two other men were kidnapped, one from Hebron, and one from Bethlehem, during house to house searches in the two cities.
