The beautiful 19th century townhouse had been sitting vacant for over 6 months prior to springing to life after occupiers secured themselves inside the building. Occupiers say "We will in the next few days hopefully set up a political library, artspace offering free exhibition space for local artists, film showings, activist meetings and a physical space from which political activism in Plymouth can organise and grow, whilst simultaneously helping the community."
Plans are already in place to provide 'squatting workshops' to the homeless, as well as countless other projects and events.
They still need as much furniture, cooking equipment, helping hands etc as possible.
