The memorial tent is the safe place, a space of reflection for people to come together to remember those Gazans murdered during Israel’s horrific attacks on a civilan population.
Political and religious dispute should not prevent us from gathering and simply honouring those who have lost their lives in this collective punishment, Israel’s means of terrifying an entire nation.
To date 531 people have died and 2500 have been severely injured, 40 % of which are children.
But these are just numbers not the lives behind the figures nor all the pain and suffering of those still living, facing starvation and constant assault by air, land and water.

And set up channels of communication between our global tent village to show solidarity for the people of Gaza in this terrible time.
On white ribbons write the name of the dead and pin them to the outside of the tent.

Ok I hear France has already set one up. Bristol inshallah will soon have one

The Nablus governer has given permission for the tent project to go ahead. We will be allowed to use the circle in the middle of Nablus, as a location for the tent of symbolic safety. We need prepare white ribbions with the names of all those killed to pin to the outside of the tent.
All the kindergarten children of Nablus will be the first visitors to the tent this Thursday.
