And how many actual offences being committed against ordinary people. And perhaps against activists in campaigns across London?

Lord West, a minister in Gordon's govt. has said [in the House of Lords] in the past few days that they are not going to change the dna date base after the Human rights court ruling.
West has used a weasel phrase that effectively means that.
Harriet Harman has said the same. As has Jack Straw.
So is there any point in asking - what is going on with the cctv recordings of ordinary citizens? Is it conceivable that cctv footage apart, actual real time use can be made of access to cctv information? Is it further possible that cctv is being sued to restrict civil liberties in Britain in the widest possible terms?
Is it also possible that obtaining access to cctv is being encouraged by criminal elements that may be already in post within local councils in London?
Has there been an outcry about this in Parliament?
Ought there to be citizen’s movement to democratise the accountability on cctv?
Who has the data on who has access to cctv info and how many crimes have been or may have been committed via access to CCTV that are run in the name of local councils and any related agency?

No, there should be a campaign to abolish the whole idea of subjecting people to constant surveillance through CCTV in public places. We should not wish to have a society run on the basis of suspicion and fear, that is very unhealthy - a kind of sickness.
