This year the march was organized by ONR (National-Radical Camp), also participating were other low-lifes from NOP (National Rebirth of Poland), BH/C18 and other assorted scumbags.
Warsaw anarchists, gathered under the name of the 'Anti-fascist Coalition', put a call out for mobilization to blockade of the march.
On the day there were a few hundred people gathered in nearby streets and when the fascist march of around 300 strong was a few hundred meters away, a group with a reinforced banner saying "Fascist free Warsaw" blocked the street and quickly everybody else joined in, forming a successfull blockade. The police appealed to demonstrators to move from the road and to "not break the law" but they were ignored. As the fascists approached, police tried to push the demonstrators from the road but they stood strong so riot police decided to kettle everyone in where they stood, with watercannons on standby in nearby streets. Those of the fash that were brave enough to come close got bottles and rocks fired at them and few of them got dealt with by "undercover" Antifa mixed with onlookers and passerbys. A few smoke bombs went off too. Police decided to detour the fascists march through side streets and they followed like sheep. A few dozen people managed to break away from the kettle while others inside were amusing themselves by poking fun at riot coppers, and having various types of fun such as trying to put condoms on their truncheons... After the march passed the police spent a further two hours slowly releasing people after filming and IDing them.
Throughout the day there were lots of less 'official' Anti-fascist "sport sections" operating in the area and other parts of the city. A few dozen fascists had the privilege of intense political dialogue with them, which for some ended up in hospitalization and for others in bruised bodies and battered egos.
There was only one arrest on the day, but police are now threatening to prosecute people that were identified as trouble makers during the blockade. Some may face charges of "disrupting a legal gathering".
In general the day was a great success with a fantastic effort from everyone and a winning score for the militant anti-fascists.
