DAYLIGHT RESCUE OF RABBIT (Mexico)
anonymous communique (translation):
"Animal liberation is not just two words written in zines, web sites, T-shirts, tattoos or patches; animal liberation is not just words spoken at animal rights meetings, shouted at peaceful demonstrations or rumors spoken about different people; animal liberation is deeds, fury turned into action, a radical response against the anthropocentric system of domination, the love for freedom; it's what few dare to carry out; it is a challenge to authority, to society, to the system and to its institutions. It is a fire that spreads and that is unstoppable; it is insurrection.
Animal liberation is all this and more; so on August 23 a rabbit was liberated from one of the many 'pet' stores in Mexico City (Federal District) in broad daylight and before the eyes of the owners and nearby merchants.
For the animals there is not justice, there is only us.

TOILETS CLOGGED AT FAST-FOOD RESTAURANTS (USA)
recieved anonymously:
"Ten toilets clogged by sponges at McDonalds, KFC,
and Burger King in protest of the horrendous conditions
animals must suffer through in factory farms. Subjecting animals
to those conditions is something we don't understand how people
can do to other living beings.
Seven bathrooms also graffitied.
End all CAFOs!
Let the momentum build."

MELBOURNE ZOO VANDALIZED (Australia)
anonymous report:
"On the morning of the 27th of August, the towering prison walls of the Melbourne Zoo were vandalised with numerous slogans, signed by the ALF, to remind visitors that animals are not theirs for entertainment."

REPEAT VISIT TO FUR SHOP (Mexico)
reported anonymously:
"August 25, 2008. Fur shop attacked in Mexico City (D.F.)
Yesterday night, August 25, we attacked for a second time a fur shop. We spilled plenty of red paint over the large letters that announce this bloodthirsty business, over the small signs with the shop's name and on their white walls. We also wrote 'Do not shop here.'
The fur business must stop, as well as all other forms of exploitation against animals and nature.
There is no justice . . . there is only us!!!
F.L.A."

15 FUR SHOPS SABOTAGED IN BARCELONA (Spain)
from Accion Vegana:
"Sabotages (smashed windows, paint bombs, glued locks) occurred at the beginning of August in Barcelona at 15 fur shops because of their exploitation of animals and in solidarity with our compañeros/compañeras imprisoned by the State of Austria. Activists attacked an Escada (an international target) shop several times and other shops that had previously been targeted.
Another target attacked was the Junta de Homologación de la Caza, the office that grants hunting licenses; this was the fourth attack at this office this year.

MEAT MARKET REDECORATED (Mexico)
received anonymously:
"On August 24, the FLA of México carried out another attack against the meat industry. This time a meat market was redecorated with various paints on their walls and curtains; the spotlights were expropriated (for future actions); we spilled paint on their tiles and threw stones at a large lamp that illuminated this genocidal business.
Turn your fury into action!
Infinite sabotage to anthropocentrism!

PAINTED PROTESTS AGAINST PET STORE, GE CORN (Mexico)
received anonymously:
"August 23:
Speciesist businesses received a visit from the ALF when at night on this day the facades of a pet store and Maseca, a genetically-modified tortilla establishment were painted, warning them of what will come if they do not stop the abuse of the earth and the animals.
A fire to modernity, stones to consumerism, we break the systematic yoke.
ALF- México"
