THREE MICE RESCUED FROM PET STORE (Mexico)
WILD BOAR LIBERATED (UK)
MORE FUR SHOPS TARGETED (Sweden)
FUR SHOP ATTACKED (Finland)
MOOR SABOTAGE (UK)
"Mexico State - July 25:
'Pet' stores are one of the preferred businesses of animal traffickers, and by being directly or indirectly related to them they are accomplices in incarceration, depression and the madness of these beings who were trapped in their natural habitat, placed behind a showcase, snatched from their families and deposited in small prisons for the selfishness and greed of the degenerated monkey.
For all this and more, a radical response must be given now against today's prevailing anthropocentric system; that's why in the morning of the date indicated the Frente de Liberación Animal – Comando Verde Negro (FLA-CVN) went to a pet shop (still closed) breaking a glass showcase and rescuing 3 mice prisoners there.
There is no excuse not to fight, preaching animal liberation is no longer enough, carrying out actions is essential.

MOOR SABOTAGE (UK)
received anonymously:
"Up on Denton Moor near Ilkley, we decided to get in on the recent action. A pheasant pen was found in woodland near the March Ghyll reservoir. The fences were brought down, a pulley system used to transport birds and other items up and down a steep slope was left broken. Feeders had their lids removed, and were subsequently lost. A large cage trap was cut in half and the inside was cut apart, bits of the trap were then removed from the area.
We found a good use for some superglue nearby, but don't want to spoil the surprise.

presumedly the 3 rescued mice will help feed the millions of homeless cats then.

¿aren't Mexican mice called "meeses"?
check the internet if you don't believe me. http://www.meeses.com/

Class A Idiot
27.07.2008 16:01
They breed millions of animals every year, which is why millions starve to dealth or are killed, because of overpopulation, because of supply and demand, because people are not re-homing animals. Instead they buy "fluffy" new individuals who have been bred specifically for their owners, whilst their fellow species are killed elsewhere because nobody wants them.
By closing down the pet shops you are closing down the pet industry, only bit by bit, but therefore over time lowerering the number of animals bred for profit. It will therefore increase the chance for the number of homeless animals to be given a new home.
I hope this explanation was idiot proof for you.
Brian
& so if the freed fluffy meeses breed with the ugly street mice..,

You seem to be suggesting with your feeble Malthussian logic ( I doth quote)
"They breed millions of animals every year, which is why millions starve to dealth or are killed, because of overpopulation, because of supply and demand, because people are not re-homing animals. Instead they buy "fluffy" new individuals who have been bred specifically for their owners, whilst their fellow species are killed elsewhere because nobody wants them."
-That your direct action will result in it not mattering if bad humans don't sell pets through franchise pet shops which let's face it are as ubiquitous as Starbucks, Tesco or underground grey Alien bases these days. Because Those fluffy critters bred into existence by the capitalists but you lot send out into the wild will in jig time of rodent geneology - ensure a child who wants a fluffy mouse will just have to buy a humane mouse trap.
Is that what you want? To make all mice and meeses fluffy?
This all reminds me of yoghurt which is the most disposed of consumer good. People buy yoghurt because it's healthy. The moment they put it in their basket they feel healthier. But they don't remember that health has a sell by date. However, that said and understood for its merits, the reproductive capacity of a tub of yoghurt is nothing compared to the reproductive capacity of a mouse. Be it a fluffy or grimey one. You need to introduce yoghurt to other milk at a constant temperature for a few hours. Mice don't worry about ambient temperature and don't need an introduction service.
I just hope when you've succeeded in making all the mice and meeses fluffy - pet shops won't start selling horrible dank brown ones complete with plague anymore.
hmmm
are the 3 liberated meeses from a Mexican pet shop really newsworthy?
27.07.2008 18:52
Is Nazi Resistance newsworthy?
Is resistance to apartheid newsworthy?
Is the liberation of human slaves newsworthy?
Is direct action destroying property for womens liberation newsworthy?
Are all these ways of liberating human animals newsworthy?
Does Indymedia UK reject all systems of domination and discrimination?
Yes - http://indymedia.org.uk/en/static/mission.html - so its just as worthy.
Otherwise it would be discrimination against non-human animals.
Keep up with the guidelines...and social change maybe?

Doesn't sound like it to me, does it really to you? Looks like the explanation wasn't idiot proof for you after all.
As for the rest of the jargon you've written, can anybody make it out? It's some rant about Tescos, aliens, yoghurt and sell by dates, they even think pets have the plague... but I don't understand how it relates to the article?!
I guess the drugs pumped into animals have gone right to this persons head, maybe they should cut down on the diseased graveyard food known as "meat"?! Shame to see a waste of a brain.
I think I made somebody cry
You'd have to try much harder to make me cry.

But without bringing poor good humans into your politics, and ackowledging that the attacks on the Fur shops are ok and make good photos. & that the fight against the pet industry is all to be lauded, as that against Tesco or Starbucks or any other rant...,
But presenting photos of meeses being held in latex gloves as evidence of the liberation of 3 rodents from a petshop in Mexico is just silly.
I've searched Mexican news wires and there is not one mention of any Petshop reeling from such a monumental assault on the pet breeding & selling industry.
What next? photos of someone putting an agitprop sticker on a Bus-stop?
You didn't make me cry & don't want to dish your efforts, merely suggest perspective helps. How about a picture of a liberated boar? I'd quite like to see a boar being held in ALF latex gloves before it went off to breed happily and end the boar industry. That is what you want as well isn't it? End the boar industry and create a world where fluffiness doesn't matter to a meeses chances of running free.

But if the animals were cats or dogs it would make sense right? This is the simplest form of discrimination known as speciesism, which hinders the liberation of all individuals.
> "I've searched Mexican news wires and there is not one mention of any Petshop reeling from such a monumental assault on the pet breeding & selling industry."
Animal abusers don't brag about being targeted, it only ecourages activity.
> "What next? photos of someone putting an agitprop sticker on a Bus-stop?"
Are you trying to compare the smashing of a window and liberation of individuals as the same as putting a sticker on a bus-stop --- WOW.
> "End the boar industry and create a world where fluffiness doesn't matter to a meeses chances of running free"
Sounds perfect. "Fluffiness" only creates speciesism that provides more protection for animals that are "cute" and "fluffy", so without human animals just loving the fluffy non-human animals, most rodents would have more of a chance of liberation, not being fluffy that is.
I'm not sure why you favour the fluffy argument, we didn't choose to give rights to the more attractive looking women when we considered equality in the 60s did we? To base rights on how fluffy animals are, is discrimination on the basis of looks as well as species.
