Three Palestinians have been killed and nine others wounded after Israeli war planes launched an air strike on southern Gaza Strip. Dr. Moawiya Abu Hasianin, chief of the emergency room at the health ministry, said that five others have been wounded including one critically, and these bodies have sustained heavy burns. Sources at the Islamic Jihad group confirmed that one of it's armed wing members was killed during the air strike.
Witnesses said that an Israeli warplane fired at least one missile at a position in Khan Younis, believed to be linked to the ruling Hamas movement.
Meanwhile, Israeli tanks rolled into the southern Gaza Strip village of Faraheen in Khan Younis city, and bulldozers demolished a three-storey house, owned by Ahmad Abu Tair. Israeli defense minister, Ehud Barak, stated yesterday that his army would step up attacks on Palestinian resistance groups, 'within Israel's continued crackdown on homemade shells launchers'.
Meanwhile in the West Bank the Israeli army invaded several cities and towns and kidnapped 19 Palestinians on Thursday at dawn.
On Thursday midday the Israeli army invaded the village of Sourif located near the southern West Bank city of Hebron and clashed with local school boys. Local sources said that several military jeeps stormed the village and started to provoke the local school boys as they were leaving their school. Soldiers detained some of the children and beat them up.
Witnesses said that in response to the soldiers' actions the children threw stones and empty glass bottles at the invading troops, soldiers in turn opened fire using live rounds and tear gas, medical sources reported no injures. Soldiers left the village shortly after.
