Petion ~ Camden New Journal ~ petition against Camden Virus Lab ~ Please sign!

Linda | 13.12.2007 20:20 | Animal Liberation | Bio-technology | Other Press | London | World

A petition has been set up online by a Camden newspaper ~ Camden New Journal against the plans for "The World's Largest Ever Virus Containment Facility / Animal Testing Lab" to be built on a Camden council house estate. The petition also fights for Community facilities and Council homes to be built there instead! Please sign it!

MI5 initially leaked security fears to the Evening Standard. Now the Camden New Journal [reporter Paul Keilthy] have taken up the story and created an online petition. A number of different campaigns are against the facility.
The facility will be built on the sites of 7/7 and 21/7 and will house the world's deadliest viruses, including Foot and Mouth disease which was a laboratory leak from government lab ~ Pirbright. The area is one of the UK's most deprived and needs council homes / community facilites / youth facilities.
