The “embedded-activist” viewpoint of the film is identified as a particular strength which "aims to get people, not only to shake their heads in shame, but to act".
The hidden camera work, described as very difficult to find elsewhere, revealing the “cold and barren reality" inside the checkpoints, is praised together with its historical summary, the authentic rural-life reality, and the blunt political analysis.
The film is also very practical encouraging the viewer “to pick one of the many facets of Palestinian non-violent resistance to support” and closes with a listing of all the organizing efforts in which the viewer can get involved.
Finally the film is particularly recommended for foreign audiences and viewers to “reveal the true meaning of the occupation”
