IRAQI REFUGEE KIDNAPPED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN MANCHESTER.

IRAQI REFUGEE SEIZED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT IN MANCHESTER. - PLEASE ACT NOW!

Despite fleeing oppression in Iraq, Sabah Abdul Rahman Kasim was arrested by what he thought were police officers, but were in fact officers from Borders and Immigration Agency (BIA), on a bus in Manchester (Bus no. 17) at 3:30pm on Saturday 8 September 2007. He was essentially kidnapped and sent to a holding centre, possibly Dallas Court Reporting Centre, in Salford.

By Tuesday morning, 11 September, he had been transferred to Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centre and is now in Harmondsworth 'removal centre' or prison. Between Saturday and Tuesday, Sabah had disappeared, and none of his family and friends know where he was. He was kidnapped by the British state. Apparently he was told he was down for deportation 2 years ago. The officers who had arrested him, told him "we will send you back home". Sabah is terrified about being deported back to Iraq. If he is deported, then he is at great risk of being tortured and/or killed.

North West Asylum Seekers Defence Group (NWASDG) demands Sabah be released immediately. Seeking asylum is not a crime. Please call Harmondsworth IRC on 020 8283 3850 and ask why Sabah is being detained, and for him to be released immediately. Do not allow them to fob you off by claiming it is not their responsibility.

MP's er what??

How would contacting MP's aid anything. A solidarity movement of progressive elements must remain grass-roots and most of all must not allow the same people who vote for 'Anti-Terror', and Immigration bills as well as the wars that aid these phaenomenons, to enter this movement and infect it with their own political agenda which has never been about the protection of human life and livelihoods. Lets keep the movement clean.
