CA (NYSE:CA), an IT management software company, announced on Wednesday (19 September) the immediate availability of its 2008 line of Internet security and desktop management products for the home and home office.
According to the company, CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2008 offers enhanced standard features such as a personal firewall, anti-spyware, anti-virus, and anti-spam. New features in version 2008 include: anti-phishing, which helps to provide protection against fraudulent and malicious websites; data backup and data transfer; as well as integrated parental controls.
Other new titles for 2008 reportedly include: CA Anti-Spam Plus CA Website Inspector 2008, which adds enhanced protection against phishing attacks and fraudulent or malicious websites, e-mails or instant messages; and CA Anti-Virus Plus CA Anti-Spyware 2008, which combines CA Anti-Virus with CA Anti-Spyware to provide comprehensive malware protection.
In addition, CA said it has increased its identity theft and virus protection coverage up to USD10,000.
CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2008 is priced at USD69.99, CA Anti-Virus Plus CA Anti-Spyware 2008 is priced at USD49.99 and CA Anti-Spam Plus CA Website Inspector 2008 is priced at USD49.99 for a three-user, one-year subscription.
