The Prime Minister of Australia claimed today that he would contest the forthcoming Federal election as the underdog – another tired (and familiar) Howard tactic! The failing politician failed to mention that it was he who created the situation with his inane, ill-considered comments ranging from his hysterical criticisms of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, as the terrorist friendly candidate, to his astounding comments on HIV and immigration bans.
The ‘aluminium tubing’ prime minister is also known for his negotiating ‘skills’, his fixed rate gas supply package to China has earned him the respect he lacks in the international trading community – fixed rate energy supply deals in constantly escalating markets are idiotic!
Perhaps Howard hasn’t fully recovered from the shock of the Indonesian president surprising him on his morning walk; the media reported Howard as “visibly shaken” by the surprise encounter – shameless cowardice is the most familiar trait of our Johnny!
Howard remains the only modern leader who is UNABLE to lead a sovereign nation in its own right; almost immediately after achieving office Howard panicked and sought the apron strings of the despised pariah nation, America. Contrast this behaviour with independent leaders of tiny island states and city states such as Singapore to fully appreciate the appalling cowardice and personality failings of the Australian ‘leader’.
Howard has NO redeeming qualities whatsoever, faced with every imaginable human failing Howard learnt to survive by subterfuge, manipulation and LIES. Today Howard is complicit in the deaths of over 650,00 civilians but Howard is also a holocaust denier and is loath to confront the civilian death toll for which he shares criminal responsibility.
During his tenure as leader his front bench was responsible for outrageous injustices and errors; the former communications minister paid 6 million dollars for a web-site package usually valued at $150,000. His immigration minister was responsible for the most heinous treatment of refugees and the illegal detention of Australian citizens wrongly identified and deported – millions in compensation has been paid with tax payers money, of course.
A former Howard industrial relations minister was responsible for a pre-planned, corporate concerted attack on waterfront workers. Balaclava-wearing personnel with Doberman Pinscher attack dogs were deployed against Australian workers who were legally exercising their rights – the government failed to defeat waterfront workers in the legal arena; the offending minister was asked to fall on his sword over the obviously Howard inspired attack on Australian workers.
After lying to the public and achieving domination in both houses of parliament, Howard was able to destroy the fundamental and distinctive value for which Australia in widely known – the ‘fair go’. Every Australian is now able to ‘enjoy’ the injustices of Howard’s Industrial Relations 'reforms' at a time when the profits extracted from the nation have never been greater. Does a percentage of Australia’s natural wealth or a droplet of corporate profits find its way to public health care or public education for our kids?
There is absolutely no valid reason, justification or excuse to depress the real wages and living standards (quality of life) of working Australians, but constant debt serves to subdue and tame a population – is a picture forming?
Howard curries favour with unsavoury, toilet-loitering, radio broadcasters and springs to their defence when they run foul of the broadcasting code. Yet Australian citizens subject to five long years of torture in illegal detention centres (Guantanamo Bay) are virtually abandoned to foreign powers.
