Chinese Smile vs American Gun

Kwang zi | 09.02.2007 17:19 | Anti-militarism | Globalisation | Other Press | World

China's President Hu Jintao re-establishes trade links with Africa vowing not to interfere with the sovereign rights of African nations. The net result of this soft approach is African nations clamouring to the Chinese whose trade links with Africa extend thousands of years into the past. Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of large African port cities containing artefacts and trade material from China and Africa. Large amounts of ceramics, ivory, gems, precious metals and a wealth of other artefacts reveal a long history of lively and thriving two-way trade between the two continents.

Hu Jintao stated that the new trade arrangements are a “win win” deal for African nations. The Chinese President also took the opportunity to level a strong lateral attack against the interventionist policies of America and other western powers that attempt to violently impose their ideologies and values onto other nations. The present American bloodbath in the Middle East is a perfect example of American ‘diplomacy’ and foreign policy. Chinese culture has evolved over thousands of years and the soft, non-violent, agreeable approach has been found to be the most effective – imagine that, Wyatt!

China’s extraordinary emergence from third world status in record time qualifies it as the best business partner for emerging African nations. While America sinks deeper into a cesspool of its own making China rapidly extends its influence throughout Africa and the Asia Pacific. It seems that America is yet to learn that humans respond more favourably to friendship and assistance than to threats and violence – can’t understand it!

The tragedy of the modern world is the (internal) destruction of the United States of America by the criminal neo-cons. America stands today as the most hated nation on the planet, a well-earned and deserved reputation.
