I think they're staying because

The US can't go they want to secure their investment and that means taking on Iran and Syria. Else Iraqi oil won't be secure. They didn't go in there for nothing that's why the democrats agree and don't want to lose either, its US bankruptcy or all the way with George Bush.

They won't see reason when they could lose their investment dollars and a way to prop up their economy.

The latest adds to my theory

They accidentally show saddam's murder and now they lose the other diggers head but it was all just an accident hey! Now that you're sure out there that the US want to inflame the situation as much as possible then one has to consider the idea that they're not looing for a way out at all.

But an insurance policy to stay there as piece of shit makers that control oil!
