peace means cynicism

expert dissent, that dissents

The facts seem to support a "theory" that is sceptical of the torpedo-ing of the peace process in the middle east at the very moment when its prospects had never seemed brighter - if you are realpolitik.

If you are also cynical - the "torpedo" might have come from "forces" outside the middle east - even commercial "forces" - even quite low down in any structures - the fact is - with the right background - it is easy to cause outrages then even fool forensic examination to have the entire world(-ish) - for a time - thinking it was somebody else.

If you are realistic, the even worse news is that saboteurs set off avalanches - they have "talents" - often honed at the expense of some country or others taxpayer - that often dont include "putting the pieces back together again". Or even the suss to ensure that somebody else can.

Peace needs to include the "hard men" (+ hard women ), to use the jargon of the "that was never going to happen" N. Ireland peace process. The "extremists" are often the people that miss those they have lost so much that they are prepared to "dehumanise" themselves - thus others - until SOME sort of restitution is found - a way to remember. Many have sympathy with them - a human solidarity we shouldnt discourage - you cant "eliminate" them/us - but you can ask them to change course. The other ways to Remember . ". . . . the sound of our grandkids laughing as they play together" as a different sort of vengeance, was a phrase from that peace process. Stopping it happening again - stopping it happening - to others - that helps too. Seeing it as tragedy, as tragic crimes, miscomprehensions - that also helps.

THIS WAS HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST - against all the odds . . . . but it seems - to some of us - very much as if somebody desperately tried to nip it in the bud. . . . without much thought for the consequences - even the very short term consequences - that might include them - in fact - all of us - unless "statespeople" + "rebels" of the world WISE UP that this sort of thing might have happened - even if they dont "unite" quite yet - they get played against each other into everybodys disasters, all too fast.

even hzbh had asked for a dispensation from the "islamic state" - as even israeli university terrorist academics accept, the dissension amongst "terrorists" (stupid catch-all phrase) - SEE LAST WEEKS I.H.T.

peace was near? - in fact - yes !!!!

israel had a new party, breaking the "stop-go" ease of others manipulating it from a distance, despite the _unfortunate event that happened to its original leader - a "hard man" who had, in the past, helped to create + protect some of the israeli settlements in palestine - thus was further accepted as a person to deconstruct them - as he was doing - than anybody else.
labour had the exchief of mossad with it, arguing that palestinians had to get respected, talked with, for peace to happen.
the hamas ceasefire had lasted two years - despite - VERY odd, this - near media blackout in the Western media about it. Although seen as the "hard men/women" , they had gotten elected due to a reputation for integrity + good social works.
(serious observers have found it makes sense to see odd recent media bias as less an axis of "palestine/israel" than "war/peace" - judging it very "pro-war", in effect - due to the lack of coverage of this ceasefire, or the differences in "terrorist" positions(see IHT reference above), simultaneous with the portrayal of israels recent campaign as almost all that of "bullying" - without much reminder that its own self image is as surrounded, threatened - with a determined resolve to remember never to let any of ITS people EVER AGAIN to get abandoned to enemies in quiet queues - or tortured alone - that has, to some extent - preprogrammed it to overreact - often even to overreact in advance. Hzbhs acting, with its kidnapping of a couple of soldiers to add to the chance of "prisoner swaps" that have seemed a tried + tested, near "accepted" bit of the situation - WAS, it seems, a response to the exploded beachbomb a month ago - but was - in the "terms of engagement" that appertained around israels frontiers then, a DE-ESCALATING, for it could, with ease, have retorted with a spectacular act of terror ("suicide" bomb - or even a longer range rocket that we have seen they had).Hzbhs changing - its good rep IN LEB is from "good works"- its ELECTED - in the lebanese PARLIAMENT.
This - the prisoner bit - IS key, due to the fact that the peaceplan that was - despite much blocking - going to get put to ALL the palestinian people in a ballot - could have (CAN) find success thanks to the fact that it was put together in prison by leaders of hamas + fatah - thus CREDIBLE, but a double need for those prisoners to get free - both to explain/argue for it, at the same time as allowing sceptical palestinians to check they hadnt got turned into puppets of the israelis in the time they were in prison.
Hence 1 pressure for peace + GOOD INFORMATION
2 investigating why the media - in different ways - has exacerbated the situation as much as it has.

+ thanks to the "crazies" - a lot of others are listening - keep it up.
( yes, it is worth trying a google of "2 remember the scams" etc.
- even a google for "hiden comments", then looking for ' We are all on the beach- you too,'
. . . . even ' Sri lanka too????' )

the use of dodgy "fake-diabolic" (fightclub) gangs in the media - as proxies or cut-outs - was put forward as an explanation - as was the fact that perhaps people could get manipulated in subtler ways than they thought - ( groupthink... plus! ).
I'm going to recheck things i'd dismissed - I suggest others do too.

"infowar" causes terror - even in punctuation

- perhaps "oops apocalypse" too. yep - the academic from israel referred to does a study of terrorist communiques - very worth checking out the International Herald Tribune piece - even if you disagree with the "spin", (or the subtitle- perhaps) - also, i agree, very surprising that quality of research/ analysing isnt found emanating from the fast proliferating uk/usa "centres for the study of terrorism/security/strategy" etc etc etc etc -
I ALSO AGREE - the overuse of the word "terrorist" is a serious problem - of the sort that can cause wars or prevent peace - but perhaps in this case some of the inverted commas got garbled in the pieces transfer to the indymedianewswire
