With Britain’s network rail asking the office of rail regulators for almost an£8 bn [see the times today 4 July 2006] and stating that it is likely to bring better benefits than CROSSRAIL, it is becoming clear that even the railways industry's core ranks of profit-making time-servers are themselves losing whatever interests they might have had in the crassly conceived crossrail bill.
These indications significantly support those that we have witnessed in the past month during the meetings of the HOUSE OF COMMONS SELECT COMMITTEE ON CROSSRAIL BILL. The select committee is itself now facing serious constitutional challenge from KHOODEELAAR! The campaign against crossrail that has been defending the east end of london for the past almost 3 years.
The legal challenge has been issued to the select committee under two sets of laws – the EUROPEAN CONVENTION FOR THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS [=”ECHR’] and the law of defamation.
Updates on the legal actions will be posted on
